Think it was 1980 Parra v Bulldogs at old cumberland oval, Eric grothe running length of the field to score one his many great tries, it was pissing down rain as well.

Also 81 GF between Parra and Newtown, will never forget Brett Kenny's dummy which caused two newtown players to collide.

A classic. 1974 - Wests v Canterbury at Lidcome - televised on Seven's Big League. Canterbury were in front in a tight one, then Wests threw in replacement Mick Lubinskas - a big Greek with a mostache like a hedge, who tore' em up and won the game for Wests. I can recall Rex Mossop going nuts at the big fella rampaging through the Berries pack.

A few days later, Wests were fined and lost the points, because Lubinskas was an illegal player.

Ummm not sure of the year but my most vivid early memory of league was the old man taking me down from the Central Coast to watch Manly v Souths in Monday Night Football at the old SCG

On TV I would say any Canberra, Newcastle or Gold Coast game in the late 80s. My first game I attended was Parra Vs Canberra in 1990, which Parra won. Since then Ive been following the blue and gold and no-one else. :)

First game I can clearlt remember is the GF on TV when Changa wore those infamous white boots,75 If the memory serves me.

I can remember it being a pretty close game in the first half, but poor old Changa running like a 60 yo man with all these long haired Easts louts running rings around him.

Mum tells me that she sat me in front of the telly when the Tigers won in 69 and she took me down to the parade in Darling St but being 14 days old my memory of it isnt too good.

Cheers.

Canterbury vs Broncos in 1988, I remember the Bulldogs kicked a field goal and I didn't watch much of the game. 1990 is my first sort've vivid memory of games, one game where Peter Peters said the Broncos didn't stand a chance against Parramatta, then the Broncos wound up wiping the floor with them. Also Willie Carne and Paul Hauff's first game against Newcastle where one of them scored a hatrick, and a game the Bronco's against Manly where the Broncos won after Kerrod Walters clearly bounced the ball in scoring a try and it was awarded.

1989 - Raiders vs Wests at Seiffert. First match I went to... Raiders lost 25-22. Don't remember much about that one though.

First game I remember a lot about (that I went to, obviously as a Raiders fan I remember a hell of a lot about the '89 grand final) was about a year later, our first year at Bruce. Raiders vs Sharks, Saturday arvo game. Sharks lead 10-0 at half time thanks to tries to Glen Coleman and Alan Wilson, only for Big Mal and Badge to lead the Raiders back to a cracking 24-10 victory.

The 1985 GF. The day I became a Saints supporter at age 12.

It was the first time I remember seeing the Aussie league on NZ TV, and took a liking to the red v as it bore a striking resemblance to my family crest.

Australia vs GB at Lang Park, I believe it was 1988. I was only four years old, but I remember sitting with my dad and pop in the old 'pig pen' while my old men had a couple of beers, and not much more than that. I remember cheering and screaming, and a bloke two rows in front of me had an Aussie flag.

That's about it!

My first ever game - Dragons vs the Bears at Kogarah, would have been around 1980/81. My neighbour took me along with her son - he wore saints socks over his norths socks and displayed each whenever each of them was leading. He also picked on me for going to the fence and watching the cheerleaders dance. We sat in the main grandstand and sat next to an elderly (lady) Norths supporter who constantly yelled and spat all all game, fiercly clutching her red & black scarf.

We won the game, dunno the score. Have been a Dragons fan ever since.
