Why "oh dear"

If she was sooo adamant something was wrong why didnt she push harder for chargers to be laid? as it is she was a woman who agreed to go into the toilets for some action. someone taped it and she got a bit upset and spoke to her friend about it. Not like they had her bound and gagged in the cubicle
But I'm sure you'd defend (and probably did defend) staunchly if these sorts of assumptions were made about the players.

Shane Webcke doesn't do something without spending time debating his decision ... there is more than likely more to this story than anyone is letting on. The book would've of been good, we'll see it at a more appropriate time.

Fortunately, Webcke doesn't take much notice of what some adolescent morons on a league forum have to say about his decision

Wow so Lego_Man's not only a homophobe but a caveman, imagine my surprise!

Sorry to offend you, i wouldnt have posted if i'd known the woman in question was going to post in this thread.

Now i just have one question - who has the biggest c**k out of the three? I'm guessing Thaiday, although you never know...Darius could be a surprise package.

Not that we as a forum need to know, BUT ... as a betting man, I think I have $100 on Ben Ikin as the man to answer this for those concerned with the answer.

Still haven't answered the question about what you would do if a woman's Tongan boyfriend followed you into the toilets, because just by going in there you've consented to every element of the good time coming your way...

Following the same logic you apply to this woman, I'd hope you enjoy your "new experience"... :D

Many people shared the same opinion re Johns and the Centenary team at the time. Webcke is just one of them, and willing to put his name to it.

Except, you know, the girl. Who was allegedly sexually assualted.

Which was assigned by an idiot doctor who did the same thing to a high-profile Union player because he couldn't be bothered to read the Banned Substances list both codes had provided him.

The NRL decided to give him a pass because they had a clear chain of causality and knew exactly what had happened.

Which is more than a little different than the scenario you're attempting to imply.

Thanks for that info. I didn't know that

Yet he was able to write it in warhorse, have it published in newspapers that are distributed in multiple states, and do it despite the fact that nothing had leaked about the story. Johns only appeared because he had been caught red-handed.

Webcke chose to be honest. After the fact, yes, but even then a choice rather than having had his hand forced.

here's where you are full of sh*t. Joey was caught with on ecstacy tablet. That is not an indication that the possessor has a prior history. Joey only had to say it was his first, and no-one would be any wiser.

But Joey decided to come clean, not just in a book, but also on TV, being interviewed. It took great courage. More courage than Tallis et al coming out after the fact and saying "I told you so"

Webcke, meanwhile - how do you know he didn't get his hand forced?

And Webcke bagging Johns re the TOTC is poor taste. Will he bag the old alcoholics that were picked in the forwards?

well i don't agree with them either. so what if he had a drug problem? doesn't make him any less of an amazing player.

i hate self righteous people and their moralising. not everyone is strong and well adjusted.

What, so the bloke has an opinion but he's not allowed to share it because he's an ex player and a public figure? Apparently you aren't aware of the term freedom of speach and webke has just as much right to share his opinions as what u or I do.

He's releasing the book now and I say good on him for having the guts to say what many other people are thinking.

hahahaha 'speach'?? okay mate.

of course he has a right to his opinion, and as i said, i like him and have alot of respect for him. but i don't think having a go at Joey is necessary.

by releasing a book with controversial topics he would be expecting some criticism. he's a tough guy, as if he would give a crap what i think. i don't think he needs you to stand up for him on an internet forum.

If this isn't a drum up of media attention for his book I don't know what is.
As someone said, no one even knew he was bringing a book out then he says he's not bringing out.
Now after all this media attention he seems to have backflipped again.
Those tales of him being a bloke he says it like it is and never backs down seems to be shot to pieces.
I also think his "the doctor made me" story is a cop out.
Why was it hidden until he retired?

Ahh having a crack at someone for their grammar on an interwebs forum, a sure sign and last resort of someone who has nothing LOL The ironic thing about that is I couldve swore I just read yesterday in the cricket thread you having a nice old laugh at him because he pointed out your lack of punctuation skills. Hypocrite much?

I do agree that Webke doesn't need me standing up for him on a forum, but I'm every bit as certain that Joey and Brett Stewart for that matter doesnt need you sticking up for them on the very same forum. Did I mention hypocrite already?

Your entitled to your opinion, but you also have to equally allow people (like Webcke) to be entitled to theirs.

i hate self righteous people and their moralising. not everyone is strong and well adjusted.
Hate is such a storng word. So Webcke is now suddenly self righteous and moralising person, just because he has a different opinion on Joey? Ok then...
