Hell Yeah !!!!

Read Clevos post above and that should give us some ideas.
Maybe even vist that website. ;-)

Good to see that the South Sydney Club is prepared to work with them, and good luck to them, it will only go onto bigger and better things.

If the Parramatta Club is serious about a supporters club, how about they look at giving the the die-hard fans what they want:

- A yellow t-shirt with a sponsors name all over it ?
- A yellow wig ?
- An area on the North terrace where the Parramatta fans can STAND UP together ?
- An area where the Parra fans can bring large flags and big banners ?
- An area where the fans can yell, sing, and go nuts ( responsibly ) for a couple of hours without being bullied by security ?

It's very simple really. Just give one bay ( the north-east corner so they won't disturb anyone else and nobody buys tickets there anyway ), relax some of the Stadium rules in relation to people standing and bringing big flags and banners to that bay only.
Make this bay a fun place to watch the footy- like it was when the North Hill was there, and the die-hard Parramatta fans will be tripping over themselves to join in.

May not be what the Club had in mind, but it will give a very clear indication as to whether this "official supporters group" is intended to give the fans what they really want or just a money making exercise for the Club.

Godfather....

They are things fans want. Except for the first two.

We secured Bay 38 at Aussie through negotiations with Souths...the top 10 rows are now recognised standing and singing area. The SFS trust have no problem with this in fact the SFS security and trust look after us too! We're able to ask Souths for these things because

1: We're serious
2: professional in our conduct
3: and pretty keen.

The seats for the committee were heavily contested and some of the goals we have set have been reached and that just makes us more eager to carry on. If anyone resigns from the Committee (all voluntary) we'd have no problem with pro active people to step in. It's a matter of talking the members in staying motivated.

It could all collapse but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it...I don''t think it will.

The relationship we have with Souths will always be a win win situation. If Souths want us to sport some flags with sponsors on it...sure! we'll trade something for it.

We meet with Souths key personell on a regular basis (ticketing, Marketing, Leagues club etc) and it's just a matter of keeping things with mutual benefits for all.

I really don;t see what is inappropriate about it.

UK Soccer supporter groups have been doing this for years. Their lessons are on the net too!

Perth Glory (Soccer) are going great guns and they taken the same route.

Go Pro...and get organised.

By next year there will be two supporter groups in the north hill exchanging songs and people will go WOW!! I wanna go to the footy again.

I dont know if anyone is running the show at the moment, but someone has got to take charge of the Parramaniacs. Stand up and get the chants going AND DONT LET THEM STOP!! Only problem is, that will become some what of a catch 22 situation, when the person in charge will probably start to be resented. Look, I have no doubt it can work, but it was lame as on Monday. I was ready to come over and start screaming only for a killer migraine. Jas, you have got a loud voice. Those that have sat on the hill for the last couple of years know that. You have lead the crowd before, get em fired up again mate. As for this Sunday at Brooky, My voice and I will be there for sure!

Some AWESOME Suggestions which are exactly what we need.. Some of them are already being raised by a number of people..

People.. if you want these things, why not throw your support behind the Maniacs... it is easy to sit back and throw mud.. but put your money where your mouth is and help to get this group going!! the more support this group gets the stronger our negotiating position is!!
