Plenty of truly GREAT classic old war movies, though they lack the realism for me these days. used to Love " the Green berets " and other john WAYNE classics. However the bloke would be dead a thousand times over if realistic. LOL....
lol...he was long in the tooth at the time as well...... :)

Yes mate. Thanks. My google skills are very limited...LOL....

It is truly a great movie and worth a look. Story of two brothers. The youngest is forcibly recruited and his older brother follows him in to look after him.( UNTIL he changes from the south side to the north due to revenge at something that happened ). Great storyline and HEAPS of action. In fact up there with the beach landing in saving private Ryan for action and realism however MORE constant action.

HUGE in Korea with over 20 percent of the countries ( HUGE ) population seeing it on the big screen, and they were just the 20 percent who could afford a movie tkt. !!!!

WORTH A LOOK next time you are the video shop guys for sure, if you can handle the subtitles.

Plus he did not enlist in WWII however stayed out of the war to continue his movie career. ( Though the Green Berets was a vietnam film, he did star in MANY WWII one's as you would be aware ). Don't get me wrong, the bloke is my childhood hero without a doubt, and probably partly to blame for my career options today, LMAO, however, very unrealistic when those bullets are flying around NBB, LOL.

I'll keep an eye out for it. Sounds good.

It is definately worth a look mate. Think I have to see it again, as will probably pick up on more the second time around. Even more than we usually do, given the subtitle factor.

Can't wait to see Clint Eastwood's Iowa Jima flick either. !!

Downfall.

Subtitled, but a f*cking fantastic film.

For those who haven't heard of it, it focuses on Hitlers last remaining days within the infamous bunker.

has there been an movies or dramas made of the Falklands War that anyone knows of?

Have not seen any movies etc, however have read stories from some of the actions there. The RAF bombing runs were state of the art for the time. They had to re fuel in flight to cover the distance and some cutting edge stuff as such took place due to the distance factor. Long range bombing difficulties etc. Worth a read mate.

Was a good movie mate. Saw it at one of those small theatres in Sydney that dont show the other movies. Definately worth the rental price as is out on DVD now.
