We are coming last. Clearly our players are not going great.

This is about you thinking that there is a silver bullet going forward. You are critical of decisions this year but then when you've been asked to come up with alternatives I think what you've suggested has been pretty poor.

BA signs great players and then rather then developing a game plan to suit he attempts to mould them into his style. Some players purchased have fitted his style while many have not. I feel like Bellamy has a better idea of what style player will suit. Maybe just a better judge of character. I feel like BA is too loyal and empathetic.Likes to see the good in guys.

Noting that we have a salary cap, who would you have signed this year and how would you have ensured that they will make a measurable difference to next year's squad?

BA assembled a shit forward pack. Its just soft. Mannah is a great guy but just a big soft pillow and anyone who rates the leader of our fearsome pack is content with mediocre.
We need mongrel. Have none bar Brown.

I agree with that last bit. It's understandable because BA is a young coach and when we went through 2016 the players stood up for him, and he probably feels some obligation to return the favour. And a young coach has to tread more carefully than a proven coach. Has to keep the playing group onside. A more secure coach can be more ruthless.

Guys likely to be available in 2019, either Bennett, Toovey, Maguire or Holbrook
If we could steal a coach under contract then Flanagan
I actually wouldn't mind maguire. He'd help develop a harder edge. Problem with any new coach though is the inevitable rebuilding period. Not that we don't already have to do a lot of that, but there'd be even more with another coach.

There is no silver bullet. BA has dug us into a huge hole. But there are things that will improve us. A new coach a start.

You don't want a quality experienced 9 and you like seeing players (eg Norman, Salmon) out of position? I'm happy to agree to disagree there.
There are many factors for why we are where we are. BA has a big role to play but he isn't solely to blame.

I never said that someone like Isaac Luke wouldn't improve us. Just surprised that for someone so critical of BA that is the only suggestion you have going forward. I expected a bit more.

Starters I am not on 500k+ a year to plan this but ok.
Twal I would of kept and moved Mannah on years ago. I would of thrown big bucks at Mclean or Tohu Harris. Fair enough we lost Semi but no winger was signed and he goes with a few midget in back with Hoff and Bevan to start year while removing Taka from backline a noted meter eater.
I said this 100 x before Mannah is playing great this year but is soft. And also stated we need big backs to compensate our piss ant forwards.

But my bigges problem isnt the players as smaller and more mobile guys can win like tigers did in 05. But they played to strengths. Why we are grinding and trying to go toe to toe with teams upfront is beyond me. Why he had Bevan in aide but hadnt any set moves to use his speed also beyond me. What was the point on picking him? Never saw early kicks behind line for Bevan to chase from 30-40 out.
Boring one dimensional shit.

Injuries and luck also. We may of ended on 22 points. But players are going backwards.
Look at Moses and Jennings form from 2017.

But somehow you are qualified enough to determine whether someone on $500K is doing a good job?

How big is 'big bucks'? Why do you assume they'd even want to come here? Not convinced you have a plan to make Parra great again.

I am very critical of BA. I reckon him leaving would have a similar effect to what Souths experienced this year.

Thanks to the way BA has built the squad our salary cap would be close to 75% full. Paulo, Fergo and Lane are already signed and Terepo has re-signed. There's nothing we can do there.I reckon Luke or (Api if we can't afford Luke) is critical in improving what we have. Without a good 9 we are f**ked. Also continuing to play Norman And Salmon out of position is f**king stupid. PLay players in their best positions.

Don't re-sign the following off contract players: Kirosome, Kritchard, King, Vave, Hoffman and Davis who have offered SFA.

Release Bevan to the titans.

Oh and re-sign Hayne.

My game plan would be far superior.
If French plays id kick on 3rd for the odd chase but personally. I would have big backline. Id tell the team too offload more. Id also give guys permission for grub play. Fingers over face and those things that get players upset.

My backline would look like this.
Guth
Hayne
Taka
Jennings
Jennings/Auvau
