What coach in their right mind would work under these conditions? A desperate one?

What would we need to do to jag a better coach (spend more money in a range of areas, pay him a shitload, sign player ‘x’ etc).

Are we willing to do that to get a new coach?

If we are, then is it possible that we could do more to support the incumbent?

Is BA too ‘proud’ to accept support or is it simply not available at the moment?

All good questions. But I think any coach who is currently unemployed would jump at the chance to coach at any NRL club. At the moment there are three unemployed coaches and only one club potentially on the look out. That situation doesn't happen every day.

Why do they do it? What benefit does a wealthy benefactor receive? And why is it that Parramatta seems unable to compete in this area despite being a growing business district?

If you are talking about major sponsors and not TPA providers, there are very few BIG businesses that are based in Parramatta and can be associated in the mind of Joe Public with "Parramatta".

Therefore we need to be looking beyond the local landscape and trying to attract the top end of town no matter where they are headquartered.

Our hit list needs to be any Top 100 business in Australia that DOES NOT associate itself with a particular geographic area (eg. St George Bank).

Unfortunately this is where brand comes in and ours has been tarnished a little.

I think companies who want to throw any decent amount of coin into a sports sponsorship dont do it because theh can see the stadium if they walk down the road a little
