I love the cold. Absolutely nothing like a freezing night at the footy.
Went to an EPL game once - West Ham vs Forest. Temp never rose above zero all day. Game delayed while they thawed the pitch out with hot air blowers under a full field balloon. Game proceeded. Couldn't hold a beer in one hand for more than two or three minute in the open bar.

It was great because it was unique.
Walking to the ground, there was snow piled up outside people's houses.
It was just so different. In situations like that, you forget the cold, and just soak it up. The atmosphere, the memories. The whole situation.
On the way home from the game, I had the best fish 'n' chips ever.
I'll bet they weren't. In fact, I can ensure they weren't, but it was just part of a great day, so they seem like they were. All part of the travel experience.

lol as long as you enjoyed it. I'd love to go to an EPL game, everyone always talks about how the atmosphere is absolutely crazy. However, as nicely as you tried to sell the idea to me, i would never go in winter

Seen the draw today REALLY looking forward to our round v Parrachokers r.l.f.c & "welcoming" Mr Hayne it will be 3 yrs since you last visited us in the semi-final & had your A**** kicked the time, unlike the last game we played at "choker park" this game will be 2 Points for us.
