Haven't played online. Usually play money games a couple of times a month with the neighbours and considering to have a go at the free tournaments at the sports club.

Can you start your own tourny on one of these sites?

Perhaps we could get a LU tourny going one night during the off-season.

Never APL or NPL if your interested in improving ur game you wont at those games.
In order of preference.

Jade Tavern Ultimo.
Star City.
Pokerdome Hurstville.

Or for a fun local game

Brighton Le Sands RSL, Rockdale Tennis club - Pokerclub.

There are some very good players in the APL - and it's a gateway to the WSOP main event.

Boy did I clean up in a 3/6 cash game last night.

I had a dream table. I had players calling raises with a bottom pair post-flop

If you listened to half the people here you'd think that was a bad thing.

I wish there were more fish in the world (or at least at my tables). :(

On the odd occassion it can be a bad thing if they hit a triple on the run home - but more often than not if your sitting on the top pair after the flop and you got nuffies with a pair of deuces calling your raise you are going to make some good cash.

Yes but if it's head-up in the pot there is no reason for them to believe you've hit the board. You'll only do so 30% of the time.

If they have position on you then a flat call post-flop might slow you down and if you show weakness on the turn - or they improve their hand - they can raise or re-raise you on the turn.

It's a losing proposition to call with bottom pair every time, even in position. The idea of attacking weakness on the turn might sound good, but most players these days don't always barrel the turn with only a top pair hand, so to bet bottom pair on the turn would just be giving value to your opponent.

Oh of course, it would be stupidity - especially on-line where ABC poker is far more prevalent. In-fact, I'd be far more likely to re-raise with bottom pair then flat call. Calling rarely tells you anything, especially against solid players.

Doing much better the second time around. I am currently 12th out of a remaining 17 (from 180). Need to double up soon.

I was in a 180-player one the other day and finished 15th, but the killer was that with 20 left my computer crashed and by the time I reconnected I only had $2500 in chips left!

Oh well, sh*t happens.
