Where is the option for Ricky Stuart
I dont think they will be flops but I see the recruitment of both Heighno & Luke Lewis as a failure by Cronulla considering they lost Jeremy Smith to get them there and had that Bukkake fellow doing the same job for far less pay grade.
Cronulla seems like a big collection of boys clubs from other clubs.
Time will tell if the dedication and cohesion is there or whether they will just have a very good State Cup side
To protect my integrity though, I will throw in a disclaimer that any of the players I name may or may not do well in their respective new teams, but for the argument of who I think will not live up to expectations for their new teams:
Dave Taylor: Dave Taylor will look like a superstar once in every ten games, the rest he just drops balls, misses tackles and is generally nowhere to be see.
SBW: The legend of SBW is that he left the doggies (can you blame him) at the peak of his powers, several years on, he will be a little older, slower, and indoctrinated into the disease of a game union. He will have his moments, but will not live up to the price tag on him.
Ricky Stuart: Besides one good year at the roosters, what joy has Ricky brought to the table for the rest of his time - he was booted from the roosters, booted from the sharks, no series wins for NSW...........need I say more.
Chris Heinington: 3 years ago he would of been a good buy, but after the last few years, he probably should of gone to the retirement factory in England. Why oh why does he always run back into the markers? Surely after years of metre less runs, he would realise that there is no metres to be made running back into the markers.
James Maloney: Hand on heart, can you really look at him and say he is a good player. One decent year on the back of lucky Warriors GF appearance a couple of years ago, besides that, is he really any better then reserve grade quality???
You don't lose Smith, you don't get Lewis. I think that much is true.
Time will tell I guess on how that pack settles
Go ask your management what Lewis's $400k contract becomes in year 4,you will be knocked out by the numbers, and you are dreaming if you think Smith's money wasn't spent on Lewis .Wrong.
I know more than you think,I know Lewis agreed terms to play for the WestsTigers, then the Sharks counter offered on the night he told them he was going to the Tigers,I know the numbers from both sides,Lewis could not knock back the Sharks deal, and the Sharks needed every cent in the cap they had.Smiths money went to signing The two tigers.
We could have afforded both Lewis and Smith if Jeremy decided to stay on.
I very much doubt you know anything about any year of Lewis' contract let alone the 4th year.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it,no skin off my nose if you think l am full of it,just thought some posters might be interested.You..................are talking through your arse.
