The rabbitohs are by far leading the recruiment for 2009
Garrett Crossman--Workhorse prop; 2007 premiership winner with Melb storm
Colin Best--Proven strike rate, good leap for the ball, very athletic and a huge outside back
Rhys Wesser--Proven tryscorer, speed machine
Kane Cleal--Possibly the most aggressive forward in the NRL, SBW rated him in 08 as one of the biggest improvers, despite multiple clubs never sustained an injury while at the rabbitohs
Chris McQueen--105kg back and over 6 foot; came down from the wynnum club from Queensland, and has already broke a few machines at Redfern.
Shaune Corrigan--Proven tryscorer, good leap for the ball, one of the fastest backs around.
Matt Mundine--Toyota Cup Lock of the year, can play multiple positions, still only 18 and locked up for next two years.
The introduction of two oustanding NYC players to the NRL squad this year, Jason Clarke and David Tyrell. Jason makes over 30 tackles a game and is often rated the next alan tongue, while David plays in the second row, is over 6 foot 3 and weighs in over 105kilos. Both highly skilled youngsters with petrol to burn.
If the rabbitohs could make the top eight in 2007 with sh*tty halves and a backline older than a T-ford; there is no reason why this side below can't grab that trophy this year.
