Which teams are flying under the radar?

With the off season almost done which teams do you feel could be the surprise packets this year?

I feel like Wests and Melbourne are really flying under the radar for what has seemingly been solid and uninterrupted off-season for both teams. Nobody is expecting much from Melbourne next year besides being in the 8, but I'm expecting they'll go all the way

Also feel like expectations for Dragons, as much as I hate them, should be a bit higher. I think they'll go well under Steve Price and I believe he's coached much of the squad for years and years (since they were in Jersey Flegg). I think the transition will be smoother than people are expecting

I really haven't seen much talk about either side lately. Expectations and hype seem pretty low key to me despite their potential.

Not really talking about tipping odds, you can always expect the same sort of teams from last year's top 8 there

I am not sure how the Lui saga is playing out but if he takes the field and manages to strike up a combination with Thurston and Bowen the Cowboys could do very well.

They put some good games together after Carney got the boot last year. Could provide some real upsets.

Roosters, Parra. Canberra as usual have no expectations whatsoever, but certainly have the talent to challenge the top 8.

I don't like it.

I can see a breakout season for the filthy fuggers and I just don't want to comprehend what that means for the universe. In fact, I'll be preying the Mayans are right about the apocalypse being just before christmas this year.

They won't win the comp because they lack the squad balance and halves experience. Plus, Sutton is the worst player in the game. Maguire is good though. Real good. He'll have them properly conditioned. Disciplined and playing to their strengths as the season goes on.

They'll make the 8 reasonably comfortably.

Melbourne have been low key every year...even when they were winning premierships*

Agree to an extent about the Tigers as a Sydney team but there's a bit more happening at other clubs...like new coaches, new recruits, new (maybe old) expectations, etc so there's probably more stuff to write about

It pains me to say it but I actually think Rabbitohs. Before you lol @ me I remember a lot of talk about their forward pack being the one to beat for 2011 but we never actually saw that pack the whole season. Its still there and fit & ready by all accounts. Also GI is looking lean and ready to fire. All it might take is for their newbie half to be a DCW & they might just gel.
Now I'll take myself off, adminster 6 of the best to myself, wash my mouth out with soap & sit in the corner for the rest of the day....

Kinda agree with this & a lot have posters have them in the top spot but if they don't quite fire with all the new ones there is only one way they can go. In saying that Bellamy & his pre seasons are renown & if anyone can get an inexperienced team ready in that timeframe he can.
