If by legend you mean a romanticized or popularized myth of modern times, then Pac by a mile. In actual rapping talent they are much closer -impossible to split in fact.

Yep, both are equal in terms of ability, however Pac was big on the West Coast cos the people he worked with were West Coast cats eg. Outlawz, Nate Dogg, Snoop, Dre, etc. Biggie is bigger on the East/NYC cos of the people he worked with were east coasters eg. Chino XL, Mobb Deep, Lil Kim etc.

I prefer Biggie, his flow is/was amazing. Tracks like Juicy and WHo Shot Ya? have outstanding delivery.

But yeah both are equal in my opinion. Only reason Pac seems bigger is cos of his songs he released once he was dead (over 400), Big only released a handful, the cats he worked with ere more well known and other nations thrived on West Coast hip hop in the mid 90's, so we were, as hip hop fans, encoauraged to listen to it.

Peace. 1.

I haven't really developed a liking for Biggie as much as i have for 2pac. You watch 2pacs DVDs about his life and how he was growing up in the ghetto with a poor family and moved in with his manager after he became noticed. His songs are about real life shit and astonishingly made 3-4 songs a day after he was released from jail. That is some crazy effort and they are still being released today. He has a good rapping voice aswell.

Well for starters I rate Pac over Biggie.

But in terms of raw skill they are nowhere near each other. Biggie is definately on top.

Tupac had an interesting life.

His songs were great, putting life stories into song were fantastic. There is one thing i got to get off my chest but, his personal hate for authority or as he would call them "whites".

yer yer they treated blacks unequally back then and some still do it today, i get his message and i totally agree with the unfairness of it, but hearing him go on about this for ages really got annoying.

But his tracks which stayed away from racial tension are the good ones, there will be only one tupac not another, there may be better rappers but pac was unique. His best album is the 7 day theory

As pepper may know how much i HATE ja rule, this is because he tries to be a hardass by calling himself the next tupac and such.

Pac.

For some reason I've never gotten into Biggie, his voice just annoys me. Plus I've always like songs that tell a story, which 2pac did better than just about anyone else.

Ja and 50 think they are Tupac, but are nowhere near as good.

I'm nota real fan of Pac or Biggie but I rate Pac a lot higher. Everybody knows who Tupac is before they know who Big is.

Speaking of the next Tupac....I think someone with the potential is The Game. Signing with Aftermath is probably a good thing for him as long as he doesnt hang around G-Unit too much.

Listen to his Albulm "The Untold Story", which he made before he went over to aftermath. A real good listen with a real gangsta/westcoast feel to it. Reminds me of a mix of Tupac and NWA.

Yeah, he should spend much more time around Dre, Snoop and Xzibit trying to boost his solo efforts and much less time around G-Unit.
