Who is the final piece of the puzzle?

I wouldn't want "The Wolfman". He's a busted dud at the moment that, when fit, struggled to make the Manly side.

He got hideously found out in origin that he is all hype (beard) and no substance. Hot dog appears to be the better of the two for mine.

Why would we waste money on a winger though? Wether it's true or not, Carney is supposed to make outside backs look good. Maybe we have something that clicks with him?
Either way, G.Bird, specialist center or these shenanigans are not worth the time and effort.

You know what, F'k it. Bird or nothing... (maybe K.Stanley)

Ike, Mills, Stapo, Williams, Leutelle, Best, Poms, Wright
Then potentials in Bukuya, Toops, Tagatese, Kelly

Just coach the team to use it's outside backs effectively. I don't want another Vangana on our team. Give our guys more ball and plenty more space and see what they can do?

Dont need Bird IMO.... need a back with presence who can take advantage of early ball and or atleast trouble the defense to the point that they are required to be marked with caution, this will give the halves more room. By that i mean, not many people give Inglis much room, but i could safely say the opposition could leave pom unmarked until the had the ball (if he caught it) and still be able to cover him...

i cant understand why anybody would think that. Best has great skills. Always beats the first defenders.

If you call runnin to the touch judge running around them, I suppose you're right.

I've never rated him & never will. We need some strikepower in the centres, not crabs.

Best has a shimmy not so disimilar to Gasnier. Better work from inside & he will be more effective. He just needs to have a metre or 2 more created by the inside guys. That is why both of our centres looked so bad. No time before the defence is on them. Compare the time our centres have, which is basically catch & get hit, to that of Lyon, who has an eternity to wind up & think, because of what happens on the insde & their game plan.

well i think we will get a fair indication early in 2012 if best and pomm are going to cut it...if carney cant make them look good then really noone can...apart from maybe JT or locky!!

Best must be ousted from the team, as he just doesn't have the skill we need but if he is to stay, wing is the only place for him.

The guy is getting on but bad call on the no skills Cardy, he actually pulled off some brilliant TA's last season.

Edit: Should have read further on.

Best is quite skillful, dont know why you would shift Mills in to shift Best out!

Best is a specialized left centre these days , I dont see us replacing him even with another backline signing.

yep Besty is by far our best backline player from last season and Mills was probably our worst. I can't wait to see Best and Carney team up. He was at his best when playing for Raiders.
You pointed out his shimmy BTR and he produced it plenty when he was with the Raiders.
Definetly looking forward to next season and Besty.
Mills has defensive problems in NYC and if he partnered Pomeroy in the centres, we would have the worst defensive centres in the NRL.

Tbh not one of our centres excite me. Mills, best, pomm or M Wright don't seem to have the spark other centres produce. Having said that it's evident Best needs the ball early. In the last 8 years, no coach has trained our halves to do that. With Carney feeding him(hopefully) early ball, I think we will see a different Colin Best in attack.

Frenzy.

Centre's schmentres.

Won't matter with the Hot Toddy on board. Gards is going to be one lucky lad getting set up by the great Toddley

Amen.
Toddman can beat the first defender or find the hole quite easily and find himself in space.
All Gards has to do is shadow him.
It is really that easy.

Speaking of centres.
How good was kenny-dowell in 2010 when the Toddster was player of the year,
This year I'd say kenny-dowell was one of the least effective centres in the game.

You could say Saint Todd was the difference between the Rorts making the GF and not making it in 2010.
I would say it.
I have said it.

Exciting times ahead.
Just keep that shire bimbo with the phone who carved up buster out of his way.

Just get a representative of the club to lay her regularly. One of the benchwarmers... a former player perhaps.

Crikey, if the club can't do it, I'll put my hand up.

Anything for the club. That's the type of guy I am.

Interesting to see who we have re-signed along with who we have lost(probably shows how much we has invested into Kade and Dougie also). We've kept all the young players we wanted.. I forgot we took that option up on Morris. I wonder where Aiton will land?
