No trick, just find it amusing that its somehow regarded as less of an effort, maybe its not physically as tough as being first man in, hell even a year 9 dropout can see that, but maybe he is very good at this aspect of the game and thats why hes found in the position often.

Im no Fitzgibbon fan but it irks me to see him bagged constantly for being 2nd man in, its part of the game....I guess if he just stood by and watched, people would prefer that.

I'm not trying to bag Fitzgibbon either, I respect him alot as a player and think he was the cornerstone of their purple patch during the '02-'04 period.

However I do notice that alot of the time his tackles are just flops that are almost completely unnecessary.

Hindmarsh is usually the first into every tackle he makes. This is alot more valuable to the team than coming in late.

It means SFA if no one else comes in, wraps up and stops the offload.

Ok then fine. But the fact is it's alot harder to do what Hindmarsh does than what Fitzgibbon does. Any rugby union or league player will tell you so.

To start with I am a big fan of all 3, so this is a tough one. BUT if the parra fans took the emotion out of there decision, even they would have to agree that B.K is a very dominant player in a game week in week out. Not to say that the other 2 don't leave thier respective marks with massive tackles counts, and high work rates, but if you were being honest, you would have to agree, if you were down by 2 with 3 mnutes to go and needed a massive play from a back rower to get you over the line you would be looking for B.K over the other 2. He is the allround forward, constantly high in the tackle and hit up counts (maybe not as many as hindy), and every thing he does he does at a million miles an hour. His quality of work in unquestionable, he can offload with either hand, no preference to shuolder in defence and will take hittups down the middle or on the edge. He makes every extra meter every time no matter what minute of the game or what the score is.
Don't take this as questioning the ability of the other 2 as I am a massive Hindy fan and have watched Gibbo since his Steelers days. But I believe that Hindy and Gibbo have changed there games from a more High tempo - Game breaker type role - AKA B.K style. To a more low key dependability type role as thier teams required.
Thank god the 3 of them make up the back row for NSW, look out 2006 those 3 with Mason and Watmough coming of the Bench - holy sh!t
