Do you watch him each week?? If you did I don't think you'd say that. Watch the Hindmarsh highlights tape on NRL.com and you will see just how important he is to our team.

I never once said he wasn't a key eels player. It's more so in defense now than attack. Which is a shame.

You can't tell me Hindmarsh has as much of an impact on the Eels attack as he did pre 2002. The guy was awesome back then, now he's not much more than a workhorse "Gary Larsen" type player.

Just because they don't rely on him so heavily any more, doesn't mean he is not capable of it!

Much better than Larson.

Hindy from the List available, and by a long way to Kennedy, then the same distance again to Fitzgibbon. Hindmarsh was head & shoulders the best forward in 05.

SBW needs in good injury free run to prove he's up there, but given that I've got no doubt he'd top this list.

Fitzgibbon is overrated IMO, and i can easily name 10 better backrowers then him.
Morrison, Kidwell, Watmough, Menzies, Puletua, Creagh, Thorn, SBW, Gallen, BK, Hindmarsh, Galea, Harrison etc...

I'd take Kennedy over Hindmarsh

This poll isn't very fair to begin with, Parramatta have close to the most supporters on this board, of course they are gonna pick the player that plays for their club & get to see him week in/week out

This poll stems from another thread which Hindy v BK was being argued.

Not all Parramatta supporters are one eyed, but I voted Hindy because if it came down to choosing between the two I'd take him hands down.

I watch a lot of NRL over the weekends and I also watch every St George game as my partner follows them, and if there was a poll between them and a Parramatta player I would vote honestly, as I have in this poll.

BTW, the Eels supporters on this forum don't out number everyone else who is able to vote aswell.

when was the last time hindmarsh made a break, or offloaded to set up a try? Overated and overweight......his best footy is well and truly BEHIND him!

Well duh of course he is can do it, when he isn't tackling himself to a stand still. Of course he is a better player than Larsen, but unfortunately, he has reduced himself to a nothing more than a Larsen type workhorse when he can do so much more.

And it's not they don't rely on him to do it, it's that he isn't doing it.

Kennedy, but only just.

Hindy is not the attacking player he used to be, dont get me wrong he still pulls of some great runs but not as frequently as he used too. Still a great player but I dont enjoy watching him play as much as I used too.

As for Fitzy, lol. He should not be in the list.

I say Hindmarsh, with BK not to far behind. Facts:
SOO 1 2005- Tackled himself to a standstill with not as much attack
SOO 2 2005- Tackled less and punched the line twice, making well over 100 meters and over the advantage line.

If he isnt always defedning..he is MACHINE!

Yeah I am not 100% sure Parra Guru.

I’m probably sticking up for him basically (Especially with Hindmarsh dominating the poll leading with 60.00%, and Ben Kennedy is a lock). I feel that there is next to nil respect for Craig Fitzgibbon as a second rower, even though he has won a premiership, won a Clive Churchill medal, and produces week in and week out.

The 2 best second rowers in the game are Nathan Hindmarsh and Craig Fitzgibbon.

If I was to choose a made up team, I would have Anthony Watmough as one of my second rowers, he is young, consistent and dominate – The kid has a very bright future.
