We're happy with RTS thanks.
On topic; there have been many NRL players that have had a huge impact on yawnion. It just proves the rugby league player is the superior athlete. Maybe we should PR this often overlooked fact.

conversely, there have been unionites who have made an impact in league. Brass, Fairfax and Harris for Easts in the 70s (all core members in making that '74/'75 squad the best club side the game has seen), Martin Offiah is the greatest winger to come out of the UK and was originally a union player. And what about the legendary Ray Price? Mick O'Connor? Matthew Ridge? Ben Kennedy started off in union. RTS is one of the brightest young stars in our game currently and he was plucked out of college rugby union. Sticky starred for the Wallabies before going on to become one of league's great halfbacks.

Union has provided League with great players too. And look how much SBW's time in union is being credited as improving him as an athlete.

Both sports are great, but it's silly to say that one is better than the other. they both have superb athletes and the two codes appeal to different audiences

No , only one sport is great. Rugby league.

And Ricky Stuart didn't 'star' for the wallabies. He went on one tour to play Argentinia. And he was a rugby league junior like Ben Kennedy.

The Salary Cap is a joke. RL has lost so many star players over the years thanks to teams not being able to properly pay a player.

Let's get a dose of reality here gents - FMD, you make it out as though Folau was the greatest player in RL:

1. Schubert fu7ked up - he should have registered the contract. But Folau (having previollsy pleaded with Stuart that we wanted to be an Eel) should have had the integrity to wait it out - it was actually sorted before he decided to jump to RU.

2. Folau is way overrated , surrounding by star players in Brisbane and Melbourne.

3. Folau carved up the Kings - they are the worst sied in the competition. If Deans is stupid enough to pick him, he will be found out in the matches where the competition is much harder.

4. Parra does not need backs, as one poster said they need forwards and I am glad he did not sign with Parra.

Talk about the sky falling down.

Falou is a huge loss for Rugby League.

The code was founded on 6 ft 9 nuffies who have caught the ball and fallen over the tryline

He's a f**king spastic and Tim Moltzen would look like Dally f**king Messenger playing union

Schubert has to go, his time was up when he missed the Storm cap cheating in 2010.

Apparently he is requesting a transfer fee for Rangi Chase be included in the Dragons salary cap, despite this not applying to the Burgess brothers' deals with Souths.

He's now actively preventing Josh Dugan re-joining the league.

And he cost the game Israel Folau, who, despite your thoughts on him (I agree he is a parasite), is a star and belongs in rugby league.

Schubert must go

Good. He doesn't deserve a contract this year.

The rest of the people though, they were stuff ups of the highest order. Folau was a no-brainer from every aspect (eels team, rep football, marketing, western sydney link, publicity) but it was prevented because of a ridiculous system where one man, personally, decides on everything salary cap related. If I were the Dragons I would say screw you Schu, sign Chase and if they get hit with a sanction then use the Burgess double standard to sue. It is almost beyond belief that they would try to now say transfer fees must be included. If it was at the start of the season that they anounced that would be the case thats fine imo, but bringing it up only when a team tries to sign someone is poor form.

f**k Folau I reckon.

We should make it hard as possible to return to the game & traitors like him, sbw, sailor, rogers, tuquiri might have 2nd thoughts about leaving in the first place.

Its their job ffs and if they leave for the dosh then good on them. I doubt anyone is calling you a traitor when you leave company A for a better job at company B

How will folau be "found out" playing on the wing for the wallabies? What weaknesses does he have as a rugby winger and who are the great wallaby wingers he'll be displacing that are so much better than him?
I've always considered him a little overrated but he's clearly well and truly qualified to be a wallaby winger, he'll bring hands and athleticism not really found in rugby and finish tries that the rest of those private school nancies couldn't.

I hope he is a wallaby at the world cup because it will be a great advertisement for rugby league. I'd expect him to produce some good highlights show casing the superiority of the nrl player.

Little off subject maybe but the most overrated player of both codes combined was David Campese, even Terry takes the piss , so if Folau stays in Union he could make a legend of himself with half the effort and twice the reward.

Presumably he can clap, but can he kick?

Carney was a Gaelic footballer.

Born in Cork 1976, Brian Carney is no stranger to Rugby Union having been educated at the famed Leinster rugby school, Clongowes Wood College before heading to study at UCD in Dublin. Although UCD is a fantastic rugby university, Brian never played for the college team, rather he was a regular with local club Lansdowne RFC regularly turning out for their second and third teams.

It was while at Lansdowne where Brian Corrigan, a local club stalwart noticed Carneys potential and suggested his union game would improve if he played a spot of Rugby League over the summer months. Without further ado, Carney teamed up with the Dublin Blues Rugby League team where he was an instant success. It soon became apparent that Carneys low centre of gravity, pace and power were perfectly suited to Rugby League and within his first season he was drafted into the Irish Students team for the Four Nations.
