I liked Thompson's involvement when he moved to centres but will he be fit for next week? Either way i think mata'utai plays centre and thompson backrow

Thompson would be a killer @ centre, but he did look very slow to turn in defence last night.. if Mata'utai is up for it maybe he could be the man, hes been playing fullback so hes obviously not too slow for a big man.

I dont even think I could watch the game if Green was selected, even Kyle would be 5x the option Green is.

Mata'utai to centre. Keep Thompson as an edge back rower and 4 forwards on the bench (out of Cooper, De Belin, Matthews, Harrison and Ah Mau). We need to stop teams rolling over us.

Starting forward pack of Stockwell, Rein, Frizell, Creagh, Thompson and Merrin. Rein to play 80.

Can't justify Hunt being in the 17 any more...we were better with Matthews and Harrison out there.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think we played better without Creagh on the field. I find my stress levels tend to shoot up when he is on the field and my throat gets sore from screaming "Get off him Creagh"

I'd be loathe to move Thompson. Mata'utia is a big, hard man and playing really well for the Cutters. We need size. Bring him into centre and keep Thompson on the edge.

The issue with picking Thompson is that we need him in the backrow. We aren't exactly flushed enough with quality edge forwards that we can put our best one into the centres - I'd go as far as to say that, with Runciman and Mata'utia, we are better equipt at centre than we are in the second row.

That said, I'm going to start mentally preparing myself to see Nathan Green or Kyle Stanley at right centre.

I don't think it will be as simple as Matty Utai slotting straight in. Maybe not until later in the year. If Beale was injured I'd imagine Runciman is next in line for left centre but right centre seems to be more open to me. Just depends where Price thinks he is at I guess.

There's potential at centre but the experience is in the backrow. Creagh will move back to the left when De Belin returns, Ah Mau keeps his spot on the right and then Matthews and/or Harrison take up an interchange spot. That would be seen as enough cover. Plus if Stanley comes off the bench and plays a bit of centre that leaves another option to move Thompson infield.

It depends. Is Conrad Hurrell playing left centre for the Warriors?? Maybe going with the best defensive centre is the best option to nullify him? However, if Nielsen is their left centre, go with the best offensive player, as defensively he isn't that great.

So Thompson or Mata'utai

Hurrell on the right & I think it should be Mata'utia to replace Farrell. The Dragons need to keep Thompson in the pack, but have him as an option in the centres. ( for in game injuries )

Agreed, I haven't seen Mata'Utia defend but he looks good with the ball in his hands. Seems to have good speed and power so if he can defend he would be my pick. We are having enough trouble in the forwards in defence so I would leave Thompson where he is if available

Mata'utia should get the gig and I think he will make a big improvement to our right side; both in attack and defence. Runciman should be first choice to replace Beale if he is injured.

Too early to know if Thompson will be fit yet? Is Frizz back this week?
Happy with either he or Mata'utia (Edit. meaning Thompson, not Frizz).
Thompson to centre allows either Matthews or Harrison to stay on the bench. I think the four forwards on the bench suited us.
Please not Style to centre. He has me nervous.
