When Lote and Lawrence are back?

We all know that Super Coach Shines always wants to have cover on the bench in the unlikely event that a winger gets injured.... sometimes this means that this bench player doesnt play until the last two minutes ( like Fitzhenry in the Prelim final last year against St George...

Assuming our best outside backline as follows;

Moltzen
Lote
Ayshford
Lawrence
Ryan

Who does Shines pick on the bench?

I would hope Mitch Brown, but Ive got a feeling that Shines will keep playing the Statue, or just to really piss me off, Utai....

Yeah, Brown for me.
However, should Lote walk straight back in? he hasn't played much footy this year?
BTW what is going on with Brown, in regards to his contract status?
How long is he signed for?

Brown is unsigned for next season AFAIK.

IMO he MUST be re-signed. Great utility value and always reliable when called upon in all positions.

Brown for sure, but knowing Sheens the bench will be Payten,McKinnon,Utai and woods, crazy but could happen

Brown is very underrated..

Our safest player under the high ball by the length of the straight...(I know he dropped one yesterday...but that was the first time I can remember him dropping one all year... Beau normally takes one and then drops the next one...)

Yeah hopefully brown. He could be subbed on for Ryan who could move in to the back row to cover for an injury.

Brown offers more backline utility value though.

It is a difficult choice. That in itself is a good thing

Has to be Brown.

Ridiculous that he isn't signed for the next two or three years also. Excellent player that gets the job done week in week out and ideal as the first reserve for positions 1 - 5, which realistically means he will play 20+ games a season. Mistake free footballer with a big heart and some talent that will never let a team down.

Tempted to choose Utard as well because of his go forward in the ruck but he's got that 79th minute stupid mistake in him that will cost a game and we don't need that in the finals.

Utai would be good off the bench. He runs it back like a demon and always get metres. Brown is definitely a more complete player.

Utard can put fancy plays on.. Like that try he put on for Benji. He made it look like a fumble an waited for Benji to grab the ball.

Is it so silly to turn Utard into specialist No. 14 next year to be used as a fourth bench forward? His metres in the ruck are fantastic, not just out of dummy half but on hit ups also.

It must be Brown, Woods, Groat, Payten and Brown is a great bench.

Chuck in Flanagan, Ben MM and Fifta and we are well served.

Think he offers a bit more then Todd, who unfortunately is a bit of a liability these days...

Please no, not needed and why give him any more FG experience let alone Finals experience. There are so many better options.

brown should be right wing or fullback in a fully fit team but that isnt going to happen

really utai should be the bench utility, even bringing him on to play lock for 10 minutes here and there he could be very damaging. unfortunate for mitch as he hasnt let us down on any occassion during the last 2 years

also im pretty certain he's contract was 2 years with a year option which HAS been taken. he will be here next year.
