Sharks are a top 4 team if they have a good run with injuries. Parra could make the 8.

Eels are worse but let's not pretend Cronulla are certanties for the top 8. They need Carney to be firing if they are any chance. Without him, they won't be good enough to be a top 8 side. Michael Gordon needs to stay injury free for their to be any significant improvement in their backs from last year, and Chris Heighington needs to stay in reserve grade so he doesn't turn their forward pack into a joke.

They have a good team on paper but games aren't won there. There are so many quality sides and any one of them can make the 8. So it wouldn't shock me at all if neither the Sharks or the Eels made the finals.
