Serious answer. I can be. Tired of excuses, talk and changes being made without fully exploring every option available to the club. For everything that happens we seem to be going backwards, not forwards.

The big excuse is it is only a trial mate. No use getting worked up yet. Ricky will have ripped in. Lets see how we go against penrith

It couldn't have been Hagan because Cayless, Hindy, Burt, Grothe, Fui were there before him. It couldn't have been Smith because Morts, Robson, Keating, Kingston, Mannah, Lowrie weren't there under him. It must have been Kearney who built the '09 squad.

We were shithouse of course. Just like every year under 3P. Still waiting to make the finals under them. Glory days etc blah blah blah.....
True, the 2009 finals run could only have been credited to whoever built the squad before 3P - unless that little trick only works the one way?

Interestingly C, I had picked up the same sense of despair/grumpiness as Avenger had. While the wait for premiership success has been very long, then I guess I can understand some of the instant reactions.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that bit though?

It was a trial! Not the best effort but we have to have time to work out the bugs. It was their first time with each other in most instances.

to be perfectly honest as long as we arent close to filling our designated salary cap and with a average squad im not expecting us to be anywhere but in the bottom sector (12th-16th) on the ladder.

I was optimistic at the end of last year, but watching the roosters recruit like mad and other teams safely setup for next year, we are still way behind.

Were several tries scored when Keating came off? IMO he is the best defender we have now that Hindy has retired. I heard that Roberts looked good all the same at 14. Attacking wise we have bugger all without Hayne and Ben Smith is still our best one on defender. I'm not too worried and I want to see how we go with Hayne on the field before writing the season off.

Id be looking at snaring a winger for a mid season transfer. Sio was poor last night and if we get injuries we are in trouble. I didn't think Semi could make the step up to FG anytime soon and after watching him for Wenty last night things havent changed. Maybe Mackenzie could play on the wing but surely we could grab someone decent similar to how we got Kelly.

Tony, I think we leaked points when mannah was off. Not sure if that coincided with mk being off the field as well.

Mannah played the first and last 25 minutes.

While there were no standouts in good performaces, was there anyone who stood out as having poor games? Conceding 40 points means a lot of defensive lapses, and the tries we conceded that they showed on the news earlier looked very soft which is disappointing.

I heard MK, Mannah and Lusisick were all off at the same time. I still maintain that currently MK is our best defender but I also heard that Mannah and Lussick defended well too. That's why I'm not so concerned that we leaked points when they weren't on the field.
