Who will win a premiership first Sharks or Souths in the next 10 years?

If either do, which one do you think will win it first?

I am now starting to believe Cronulla will win their first premiership before souths will win their next one.
Sharks played really well this year and went out with a real fight in this years final series.

I believe the sharks are building something special and are probably one or 2 good outside backs away from a serious premiership threat with the backrow they have and depth on the bench.

Souths on the other hand have a very good team on paper but is the believe in themselves or the just the media darlings?
They just seem to struggled to string a 80 min performance together on the big stage like they have show the last 2 years.

Sharks probably have another 2 year window before Gallen, Gordon and Carney start getting a bit too old. They need some good centres which has been their achillies heel for so long.

Souths have so much pressure on them from their past, it must nearly be unbearable. Even Inglis after the game when interviewed made comment about all the black and white photos of all the legends of the club and how they needed to move on from that and create their own colour photos.

Sometimes the hype is bigger than what the players can deliver. The longer it goes for both the Sharks and Souths without a premiership the harder it becomes to win one.

I would imagine the salary cap is going to affect souths over the next two years. They may well still field a very good starting 13 players but when injuries start to mount the lack of depth may cripple them.

As for Cronulla?

Overcoming that mental barrier is nigh on impossible considering there are so many good teams to get past.

I think we all saw that with Souths last week, came out on fire 14-0 lead and then once Manly hit the lead you could virtually see Souths imploding.

The mental difference between Souths & Manly was there for everyone to see. Manly never panicked or doubted themselves where as Souths it was like all the doubt & expectation came to the surface.

If it is any consolation once you do win it after years & years of what ifs, it is worth the wait.

Souths thought they had a match winning lead but forgot that there was still over 3/4 of the game to go. Lost respect for possession & Manly pounced. They didnt need such a big invitation.

Cronulla will win in 2017 - 50 years since they left the porch light on for Harold Holt

I think it'd be easier having not won a premiership than having the expectation of winning your first one since 1971 and the 21st of the club.

The mental barrier is greater for Souths imo but we have a better overall squad. Sharks just need to make do and do it quickly as Robson, Lewis and Gordon are not getting any younger.

Neither CroNULLa or Souffs will win anything in the next 10 years.
Souffs will before CroNULLa though.

I just can't see Cronulla winning a title. Their teams always look a class player too short.

The choke this year by souths might haunt them next year. But they'll win won some time in the next 500 years.

Perth Sharks.
Specials.
See if you can get some future odds now, mortgage your house, get on.
Get a personal loan and get that on as well.

You heard it here first.

Cronulla have never had quite enough class to seriously threaten. They always seem about 10% of the salary cap short.

Souths are still learning. Their danger is having their best players eat up their cap. IMHO having the 4 Burgess obsession f*cked them. They basically had 4 clones. They desperately missed Croker, and needed Asotasi to be back near his best. I'm not sold on Reynolds at all. Good young FG half with a bit of spunk - a bit like the Dogs version. He'll never have the class or influence that DCE has.

That said, over the past 2 years they have been the best overall. Te'o was a great buy

Souths possibles given a few more years as a premiership force. Cronulla.......nope.
