Maybe he doesn't want to play in the ESL, many Australian players don't despite the big money offers. Things like friends and family are important (if you doubt that then you doubt the evidence presented by the NZ Warriors players who return to NZ a few weeks back due to home sickness).
Additionally, a player may not fit into the system at another club. I mean have a look at how successful things have been for RTS since he took the bigger money offer to play at the Warriors. He's been covered in finals glory there eh?
You have presented no evidence at all, just supposition and theory. No facts.
By two other clubs, you mean the bottom two? He’d be a bench warmer everywhere else. That’s pretty pissy evidence, you have there.
My fault, really.
I was FAR TOO SUBTLE!!!!
The only people who won’t care about this year, are the fans of the 15 teams that don’t win it...
I've gone over that squad a number of times, and the only way is that the top players are accepting hundreds of thousands less per year there is no way they fit.....( even with the younger guys outside the starting 17 on minimum wage or not much above )If you are going to go on a roosters salary cap rant, at least provide a breakdown a completely made up breakdown of what each player is being paid.
Once they get Arrow and a coach who is up to speed with the modern game they should go alright.

over the course of their contract some would have to be forfeiting anywhere up to 300K to 1/2 million less.....all for love I guess.
Like Knights winning ARL in 97, its nice for the fans but its not really a premiership is it. This year will feel the same (unless Storm win then I'm claiming it as our best one yet in the face of all the adversity we've had )
At least give me a breakdown of the wages so i can respond?
If it looks like a Rooster and crows like a Rooster ....its a Rooster
If it looks like a sombrero and fits like a sombrero ....its a sombrero
You do the math.
When the Storm got busted I didnt bat and eyelid that they were using creative accounting....it was that obvious.....and so it is in this case....blatantly so.
The cap is 9.6 millionIt's Nat Butcher that tipped you off, isn't it?
Definitely Nat Butcher. HE WOULD START AT TWO OTHER NRL CLUBS!!!
The cap is 9.6 million
take out 4 development players at 75 K each = 300K
= 9.3 million over 26 players
average salary = 358 K
So how much are JWH, Cordiner, Keary, Tedesco, Manu, Crichton, Radley, Friend, Tupou, etc etc earning?
Are all of these pure souls sacrificing hundreds of thousands of dollars ( each ) for the love of the Roosters? Accepting well below their market value for the love of the club?
never heard of the f**kerSo it wasn't Nat Butcher?
