Who's better?

For mine, Kenny. Wally was a brilliant player, no doubt about it, and those of us outside Qld probably own saw him at his best during Origin. By the time he came into the NSWRL with the Broncos his skills were on a slow decline. That said Kenny was the one player who, when playing opposite Wally, could shut him down. In fact Wally and a number of Qld players said they were always relieved when Kenny was either not picked at all; by NSW or he was picked in the centres.

Kenny was a good defender, had soft hands with a good passing game, and probably one of the best steps I'd seen. Wally probably edges him as an organiser, and for his kicking in general play, but otherwise I think Kenny was better.

George Peponis or Max Krilich?
Played some very early junior footy with Bert at Guildford as a young tacker and he was an absolute freak...and the thing about his evasion was that he had more of a swerve than a step on many occasions - he would actually pick up speed as he changed direction and leave players clutching at thin air...I still rate him as the most naturally gifted footballer I ever saw.

And on with the thread...another 5/8 contest:

Cliff Lyons or Terry Lamb?

Cliffy Lyons. Was a constant threat when running at the line and could almost break defences at will. Lamb was good, but not in the same league as Cliffy.

Steve Walters or Danny Buderus?

Brett Morris, Brett won premierships, poor Josh missed out but actually watching them play over the years i thought Brett was the better of the two.

Peter Sterling or Steve Mortimer ?
Sterlo, but both as good as anyone imo

Paul Sironen or Gorden Tallis

Matt Sing or Josh Addo Carr
Sing would be one of the more under rated players of the past 20 years. 275 NRL games, 24 Origins for QLD, 13 Test Matches and probably the best defensive winger of the modern era. Went from a strong Easts side to NQ and played a big part in their rise to regular finals team.

JAC is electric and one of the best attacking weapons we've seen. I also feel his defence and dirty hit ups doesnt get the credit it deserves.

For now I have to go Sing, purely because he did it at the top level for 13 seasons. IF JAC brings success to the Dogs though over the next 2-3 years you'd go him.
Andrew Johns or Adam Reynolds

Better player or bigger f**kwit? Close on both counts, but I'd go Benny on both fronts.

This one got missed earlier,
Larry Corowa or Nathan Blacklock.

Hard to disagree

Thats a tough one. Larry was all pace, Blacklock was more skillfull and probably scored more out of the box tries. Id go Larry, definetly a bit of bias in there though.
