Beauden Barrett from the All Blacks would and should be the next player the Warriors try to sign up.

This guy would be the icing on the cake if they could pull it off.

Shillington and Glenn is a very loud YES

I know we need a 6 too but would be delighted to have one of or both these guys onboard.

Shillington is way past his best. He's played about a handful of decent games in 3 years. He's got Super League written all over him. And Glenn is a second-rower, which we know we're not in need of.

And Hodkinson could fit with the quality in our spine...he'd want way too much though as a NSW incumbent.

There's really bugger all else out there in terms of props. I wanted McKendry but I think he's re-signed at Penrith? Lussick has been good this year but I think he's Manly bound again.

One more experienced prop would be nice - Rapira staying a bit longer would've been ideal but injuries have obviously cruelled him - but hopefully Lisone/Vete keep developing into consistent performers.

Really all I want is a halfway decent, experienced prop (just replacing Rapira). Anything beyond that is just extras (next cabs off the rank would be an experience not totally rubbish outside back and another option in the 6 jersey).

Shillington fits that IMO, so long as he's not too expensive (unfortunately this is where the Super League will likely win out, with their new marquee rule). He doesn't have to be great. I just want an option that I know will perform in maybe 12-15 games, maybe some more depending on injury and how the younger guys are going. Not sure he's been that bad either, just not at his old Origin/Roos form anymore and spent the last few years in bad teams. No idea beyond him.. Vave? Scott Bolton? Arona? Sao? Ioane? Are these decent or realistic enough options?

As for the other spots... Nightingale was apparently having issues with the Dragons contract offer, but David Simmons could be the more likely option- can Penrith afford to retain him given their wealth of young outside back talent? That right wing spot is wide open, as I have just about lost all confidence in Fish to become a regular FGer (and even if he stays fit, to perform - defensively - at a good level). As for halves.. no idea - Te Maire Martin? Mitch Cornish? Dockar-Clay? Just keep Lino (if he will stay)- I'm guessing Lino (plus the option of Leuluai as a backup 6 also) is the way they will go.

Id take him up on a 1 year deal with the club to be able to add another year if he gels well. He seems to play pretty big on contract years lol. I wouldn't go 3 years for obvious reasons

All this talk of players, in all seriousness I hope Doyle is looking for a good coach

Was about to suggest Taylor.
Although I'd be concerned as to how much $$$ it would talk to bring him over.

On his day, menacing.
Off his day, bog average

Maybe a change of club is what he needs?
Seemed to be great at Souths and at Brisbane, not so much at the tits

Hmmm- Taylor is talented, often overweight, usually ill-disciplined, good for one or two critical (usually unforced) errors per game - yep, he'll fit right in

How long is Cappy contracted for?

Regardless of how he performs, I am totally against breaking contract with another coach.

Yeah, but every year the talk is the squad's good, we should be top 8 easily...

Now the talk is next year's squad is the one - if he can't make top 6 (4?) next year surely he's toast?

And I am no SJ fanboy, but something isn't right with what's going on - the system isn't working

So apparently Sam Moa has been told he will be released if he wants to leave the Roosters. That could be the final piece of the puzzle right there.

Wouldn't mind a youngish 2nd rower with some experience on the cheap, maybe a similar prospect to Bodene Thompson. Just seems like with Henry out theres a massive bridge between the top 3 and the rest
