Will Isaac Luke and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck drag the Warriors out of the vortex, or disappear down a wormhole like so many before?

I agree with this sentiment. Jim and his recruitment drive might not make a blind bit of difference. At the moment it looks like we could sign all of the best 50 players in the world and still not trouble the competition leaders. It feels like the quality of our cattle is among the least of our problems.

How can someone like Taukeiaho, who from memory was released (not poached) from the Warriors with "attitude concerns", improve so much in just a couple of years? Meanwhile the "superstars" we have seem to have a mindset of "well I played OK so it must be someone elses problem".

Systems and culture... Cleary and Anderson were getting things right, but it's all been undone...

Matulino is back on track, but the only other players capable of consistently delivering week-in-week out for 80 min or their required minutes are Mannering, Hoffman, and Lillyman - Friend is probably past it, although last night was excellent...

I fear for RTS, he's potentially so good - we might f**k him up - Luke is a senior pro, but could easily slip to his ill-disciplined past

This Franchise is desperate for another Daniel Anderson, a coach who is brutal and ruthless but inspirational as well. What Bennett has done to the Broncos speaks volumes!! and at his age it shows you that great culture is built and built rapidly by an enforcer.

McFadden looks like the type of guy who would make the boys a hot milo and tell them he's not concerned as he knows they will be much better next week.

Putting Wright and fullback was an absolute blunder of a call. Wouldnt common sense even as a fan on the sideline thinking dictate you move Kata to 9 and wright to centre, leaving Tui at 1. What a horrible call.

Not sure if Anderson is the prime example of inspiration.

He did lose the dressing room completely in 04 and piss everyone off during his Grand Final half-time thing.

Definitely see your point though, McFadden seems a bit too chummy about where things are.

On a side note it looked like Mannering was giving them a real serve at the full time siren, at least I hope it was that and not "hey at least this loss was better than last weeks loss"

Id never consider Kata a 1st grade 9, so no
Having Wright on the bench was was the mistake, not playing Wright at FB

The only other place I have read the Sam Moa rumour has been on Roosters Social media sites, so its coming from the Roosters fans, where it came from before that(if it did) I don't know

Bad call was Wright on the bench.
Lolo f**ked up an easy fall on ball in goal, but his action looked like he was trying to pick it up and run back out and around.
So they both one for one there. Wright had a pretty good pick up on a kick through earlier.

Wayne is a Brisbane ledgend, he achieved jack shit at Knights and had plenty of money at his diposal.
What club ledgend do we have with a proven coaching record???
Jones???
Not sure what style of coach would suit us best, Des/Toovey or Robinson/McGuire or something in between.

Those that leave and reach their potential are removed from a lot of distractions like friends and family, so can focus on their profession.
No safety net to fall back on so have to pull finger.

We need to look at the Bunnies model who where drastic underperformed for years. Not sure if it would help or not?

Hopefully we give Jim time to sort it all out.

Made a mistake - tried something out of the box. Hindsight is always 20:20

Sure. All I'm saying is that Anderson was pretty far from perfect, he got us on the map but couldn't hold it together for long. 2004 was tragic.

Yeah, both he and Cleary were relatively inexperienced - aside from Monie we haven't had a coach with a decent list of NRL achievements, and Monie was over hyped - he coached one of the greatest teams him history to a swansong premiership and then Wigan...

Really would love to see what a coach like Bennett, Bellamy, Gould, Hasler could do here - doubt it will ever happen of course...

You forget Bennett took perennial chokers St George to a premiership in two seasons and do it when his roster was probably a season or two past its best.
Newcastle weren't that cashed up either- remember Tinkler basically went bust and defaulted on his club ownership at the time. Either way premierships at 2/3 clubs isn't bad.

Didn't forget about the Dragons, just excluded it from the discussion:D
Tinkler went bust and Wayne walked the same year when the millions not in his contract anymore.
Dragons had been there abouts often often, making top 8, 7/10 since 1999 and Bennett showed up.
His record is good, no doubt.

Also I would have Wayne coaching the Warriors in a heart beat.
But would have Bellamy in front.

In the main forum there seem to be suggestions Foran might bail on the Eels...
