We just can't compete at the moment for several reasons, firstly our engine room is running on 1 engine (Snowden), most teams are running on four. I mean I think with the game being a lot quicker, the starting props can't play those big long minutes anymore and the bench becomes vital, we have the same problem as Melbourne, 1 good prop and 3 donkeys, at least the storm have the big 3 to bail them out. Secondly our entire pack lacks mobility and athleticism, the play the balls are so much quicker now and our slow, old forwards can't compete anymore. Thirdly hooker, with quicker play the balls you need a good dummy half to take advantage, instead we have a slow dummy half who looks lost half the time. If that wasn't enough we also lack creativity, we have no ball playing forward in fact we haven't even got a forward who you'd call a strike player, we have a hooker who's best attribute is that he tries hard, a fullback who's out of form and a halfback who's kicking and passing game is still developing.
