This year was a choke of sorts but take the no 1 half and top prop out of any of the top 4 teams and you would see them struggle.

Last year was Souffs' comp to win,, however, I think in the past 2 years we have turned up in week one after winning the MP just expecting to roll the opposition and we haven't aimed up. We should have made the GF both 2014 and 2015, however, Souffs would have rolled us in the big one last year.

I hate the term choker. Saints were called it for years and mainly by supporters of teams that didn't even make the eight.

I would rather my team consistently make the eight or better top 4 or a GF and 'choke' than not be there year after year or on an inconsistent basis.

I found it more so came from teams within the 8 competing with us for a title...

A lot of butt hurt rival fans, most clubs would kill to even have half the success of the Rooster in the last 15 years 6 Grand Finals, 2 Premierships, 4 Minor Premierships, 2 World Club Challenge Cups & and made the Semis 11 times whether you hate them or love them no-one can argue their success and of course 13 premierships total definitely nothing to sneeze at.

that can't be true when there have been premiers since then who haven't even made the finals the following year

You were a bandwagon fan of a club who did exactly that with a huge injury toll.

for someone who complains when their team of the month is ridiculed, you spend a fair chunk of time doing exactly that. hypocrite.

I think part of it is just having such a high standard that it falls apart when you don't reach that standard, if that makes sense.

Three minor premierships in a row is a crazy feat, and come finals everyone wants to have a swing at you. The last two years mind you, the Roosters dropped the first finals game and had to claw their way back, whilst both their prelim opponents had the week off, which is massive.

I can somewhat agree on the leadership thing too, JWH was missed and imo he should be the captain of the side, no co-captain bullsh*t.

Will be very interesting to see how they go next year, but you've gotta be happy with the effort that came in 2015.

I think you nailed it. I wouldn't call it choking as they didn't play bad against the Broncs or Souths. They played well - but they were up against a team that was hot as hell. The issue is that when you get to a prelim other teams up the ante and Easts has already set the bar as high as they could and had no where else to go.

Pretty bad against Broncos. It sure feels like we choked - but the injuries definitely come into it.
