Why don’t teams punch on more often?

The headbutt will be a MRC issue, it was prob classified under the same as punches.
And no, thats not the problem. If anybody throws punches, they sit down. It does not matter if IN YOUR OPINION one team started it or did it worse. One team doesnt get off throwing punches cause the other team did a headbutt.

The headbutt should have resulted in a send off, not a sin bin

Not sure if copping a punch and not throwing back is soft or smart not to also get sinbinned

Alot of people didnt see it, but the replay showed him reaching over and punching after Sam came rushing in with his head and fists. The bunker did however.

What replay? The video in this article is pretty clear

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/362a82ee869bd7e7a3499a5988968881

Tom and Saifiti were throwing punches, Fitzgibbon gets in between them. Sam runs in and throws a punch from the side, so he turns and grabs Sam and drags him away with Barnett and Lee. There is literally just 1 arm movement that could have potentially been a punch (and his hand is on Sam's shoulder directly after), and they were already pretty much cuddling at that point, so he certainly didn't reach over anything to punch him, nor is there any chance he threw multiple like your original claim.

Can you please provide the replay that shows him throwing punches because it appears you are just making shit up?

You can literally see the arm raise and hit him after sam rushes in and punches him on the long shot.
Once again, if you cant see it, thats on you.

Yes and in the zoomed in version you see what he actually does is grab Sam by the shoulder. Anything looks like a punch from 100m away.

Except you can still see the punch on the zoom in, his first action when sam comes in is a punch.
The arm on the shoulder happens later.

Liam Martin took a head-butt last week for the Panthers. Didn't retaliate, smart thinking young man.

Penalty Manly. Fitting.

Head butt should have been sent, Surgess should have been sent for a dog shot.
Fitzgibbon should have stayed on, punished for being coward punched and having the audacity to push Surgess as a result.

There was nothing in the tackle, George got up pushing for no reason, gets pushed back and throws a headbutt. It seems everyone in the world beside the officials in that game saw the headbutt.
I’m astounded how they managed to give Souths the penalty.

That was a pen because the first foul play was the dangerous tackle, so thats why the pen stayed against Manly.
As i didnt hear the refs reason why it was a Pen against the Knights here, only that it was against Saifiti. I dont know if it was the fact that he threw the first punch missing the headbutt completely, or if it was because of something else in the tackle they saw under review and deemed it as the cause of the melee.
But both Burgess boys will be suspended for their headbutts by the MRC thats for sure.
