I think it's been tried by every league in Australia, they are an AFL state
.

Right, fumble ball own it and other than looking good on a map does it really matter if there's no team there. Until recently the NFL had no teams in LA for a decade or more, Quebec has been overdue for another NHL team for so long its ridiculous but it will never happen because no-one will give up their division spot.

Perhaps if we kicked out Souths again..

You guys misunderstand WA.

Although AFL is undoubtedly king, WA is actually quite accepting of other sports. There is more than enough support for a WA team.

However, WA is more parochial than any other state. If it is a legitimate WA team they would be well supported just like the Wildcats, Scorchers, Glory and others are. But if it is a transplanted team that suffers from the garbage Daily telegraph headlines of moving the team to the CC every time they have a bad season then they would fail.

Fair enough, but sorry mate, I just can't see any decent player going over there to end up in obscurity. It's been tried and failed in both RU and ARL. Plus the costs to teams travelling, unfortunately it will never succeed, imo.
