The times I've seen Collingwood, I quite like them

Ever been to a Collingwood game?

You'd know why they are the lowest form of scum in the country...

Every club has its feral supporters, but the larger the supporter base, the higher the quota in this regard...

Originally, Collingwood was very successful and success does breed a form of contempt among rival sports fans, particularly when supporters of a successful club lose all capacity to keep themselves grounded and carry-on as if they're the single most significant factor in the good fortune being enjoyed by their club.

Collingwood hasn't been genuinely successful since the 1950s (in ultimate premiership terms, at least), but key figures at the club are ever and always oblivious to this reality. As such, they bang-on at every opportunity about how Collingwood is "THE BE ALL AND END ALL" of AFL football and as a consequence all other clubs and fans owe them big time and should get down on their knees and worship them 24/7. When this is the line being pushed from the top, its little wonder that the rank & file show a clear tendency for mirroring such overt obnoxiousness.

At the end of the day, its painfully noticeable that Collingwood fans prattle on about being the ultimate force in professional national football, while at the same time falling back on a flag four-peat achieved 8 decades ago in what was essentially an amateur suburban league as their primary claim to fame...

Collingwood... You're either with them or agin them...

Just so long as I'm at least a kilometre removed from their cheersquad at all times, I'll be sweet. 8)

So Collingwood is basically AFL's answer to the Dragons?

What?! Bugger off?!!! These clubs are nothing at all alike!

The Dragons ARE Rugby League and its a sad reflection on you that you cannot comprehend and accept this!

Dragon Army...

Dragon Army...

Dragon Army...

Two words, seven syllables, Old Son!

ELEVEN PREMIERSHIPS (in succession)...

There are those supporters who wear the Big Red V, and those supporters that wish they wore the Big Red V...

I could go on for hours about this, but I'd much rather leave you to your la la land while I watch a replay of the 1979 Grand Final 8)

1999?

I'm unfamiliar with that particular year...

I'm also quite sure it never existed...

1977 on the other hand...

DRAGON ARMY...

DRAGON ARMY...

DRAGON ARMY...

Alright tell me if this interpretation is right...

Collingwood are the Bulldogs exept yobbo fans instead of Lebanese fans, they are liked as much as Roosters & Eddie McQuire is the Phil Gould of AFL

Am I right?

That's a closer analogy . It's also due to in small part due to colour .
Dark colours have been shown to project a meaner facade .All around the country , you're either a black and white fan or not .Port Adelaide when black and white in the SANFL were is easily the most disliked team anywhere in OZ .No affinity for Swan districts in the WAFL either . On the other hand the Red and Whites are seen as an aspiring team around Oz .
Sydney Swans , St George RL , North Adelaide , South Fremantle , Newtown .

The reason?

We are the most famous sporting club in Australia.

If you want a rugby league analogy, we are the St. George of the AFL times about 10.

Because you won a lot before any of us were born, and are not likely to win again in the forseeable future?

Rubbish.

It's because Collingwood fans are mongrel dogs by nature.

The illustrious leader of your cheer squad for instance (For anyone in NSW, the famous dill who used to wear a gold jacket when they were winning) took a f**king swing at my girlfriend after they beat us by a point a few months ago & my best friend (Also female) was attacked by a group of his female friends. With that kind of leadership amongst your fans is it really any suprise that the rest of the support base are filthy dogs?

There is a sickness in that club and it attracts the lowest type of fan.

The good news is though I beleive Joffa got a touch up on the way home on the train - He certainly didn't travel to Perth the following week.
