O'Keefe is playing in his 11th first class game now. He has a bowling average of 24.83 (alongside a batting average of 51.33). He did a great job in Australia's A game (4/88) and whenever he is picked for NSW he never lets them down.
Yet, Beer, a guy with less experience and with a considerable worse bowling AND batting average (43.31 and 9.20 respectively) has been picked ahead of him. Does Warne really have this much influence over the selectors? Or have the NSW selectors done this young man a disservice by not playing him enough?
By the way, among all the spinners playing for their states, no other spinner has a career average below 40.
