Why we MUST beat Manly...

...to shut up R*y H*dley and his side kicks this weekend on the radio.

They will be absolutely frothing at the mouth at the prospect of their pet club Manly beating us infront of our home fans, giving them free reign to once again dig the boot into our club for another weekend. WE MUST WIN!

There is no secret that the players and our coach are well aware of the agenda H*dley and his 2 shadows have pushed for the past month, so they should be extra fired up for this game. There is also alot of bad blood between the clubs with the whole Lyon - Cleal soap opera.

We may not all agree with Brian Smith and the decisions he makes etc. but I'm really quite sick of this bloke sticking the boot into us at every single opportunity.

CMON BOYS FIRE UP! (as Gaz would say)

I went out to the Brookie game earlier in the season and gave the eagles supporters heaps all day. I only wish I had given them more!!!

:iwstupid: :blahb: Yeah heaps out of form, we beat the reigning premiers in our last game. Don't give me that crap about no Gower and no Campell. They still had Wesser,Lewis,Rooney,Waterhouse,Puletua,Galavuao,Clinton,Priddis,Lang....
Out of those players 4 played in Origin 1 and two are Kiwi internationals. A side with that many rep players is still a top notch side. Manly were without 5 key players. Our top prop, halfback, hooker and second rower all spent last weekend on the sideline. Don't worry, Chad Randall and Sam Harris will be back this weekend :D

I want Parra to win and would love to shut Hadley and co up, but at the same time i'm thinking why should we give a toss what those guys think? Don't think i'm going to hear a more biased broadcast in a long time.

Fulton's as much as a worm as Hadley. Atleast Hadley isn't involved in an official capacity with Parra #-o .

Penrith are a comletely different side without Gower, Campbell & Girdler so don't kid yourself that that was some kind of historic victory for your mob. I'll grant you that you also had a few players out but they are nowhere near the same calibre of the 3 big guns Penrith were missing. You guys are in a little bit of form though, i'll give you that, and with Randall & Harris back you'll have a strong side.

It will take a big effort for us to win without the likes of Cayless, Hindmarsh & Vaealiki (and possibly Grothe) who all played in our round 6 win over you guys but this game means ALOT more than just 2 points to us. There will be plenty of feeling out there on Sunday, mark my words

With Witt and Hindmarsh out it's gonna be tough. As pointed out above, Manly beat the Premiers last weekend, and even with a make shift halves combo the Panthers are still a good team.

Let's not also forget Manly's ability to pile on points in the second half so far in 04. Manly are very dangerous in the last 15, and Walker has to boot one of those sideline, end of game goals sooner or later.

Ian Donnelly is also playing well off the bench.

Will be interesting to see if they play Cleal or drop him from the extended bench.

If Randall, Dunley and Hollingsworth are All fit I imagine Hollingsworth will be dropped and our bench will be Dunley, Donnelley, Cleal and Harris.

Any side is different without their halfback or 5/8. Manly is a different side without Monaghan. All I was trying to say is don't do what the media is doing, take all the credibility away from the Manly side. We SHOULD of beat you lot last time and the side won't make the same mistake twice :D
