I've got no problems with him, why?

it's kinda obvious really, Tahu went for the union dollars and returned to league when he failed.

This sums up one of the biggest problems with alot of fans ( across all codes ). This person/player/coach is a blah blah, douche, tool, tosser, hope he never returns the useless good for nothing...oh playing for my team, welcome back you legend

I can't see AFL and Sheedy letting him go before the contract ends.
I dont think it matters .
Does anyone honestly believe(except BF nutters ,who think another 8K would have showed if he played) that the Poly population of WS has turned to watching AFL.
Jesus, the delusion is incredible.

personally I would love to see Folau at the Broncos, Hodges body ain't what it use to be, could see Folau slot straight into the centres. In a few years time Reed will be a second rower, they'll bulk him up, or Reed will head to England where they love him I feel.

Only 2 things were gonna happen.

1. He'd come in & do well, which would make AFL look like a joke.
2. He'd be a dud & Giants have pissed away 10 trillion dollars of their cap.

Obviously the latter has happened. And now talented kids who've played the game their whole are gonna be "Hey, wassup wit dat!?"

lolol, a friend of mine who is a dickhead on the piss, threw a Red Bull can at Folau's head, & started giving shit about being a traitor. Folay came up to him, almost apologetic, explaining to him that he didn't want to leave, it's just the money was too good to pass up.

Most (if not all) come back in the NRL era. Just like Gasnier, Rogers, Sailor, Tahu and Tuqiri.

I bet he cops a LOT of shit living in Sydney. Its not like he is in AFL territory

I just want to see him back, cause that publicity for his return to the NRL may attract a few AFL fans over. As well it can only be a positive story (especially if we get him to talk down how much crap AFL was to play).

Dont think he will talk it down.
It would have been written into his contract that when he finishes in the AFL ,he would never ba mouth it..

Too harsh on the kid, imagine the crowd on the weekend if he didn't play....reserve grade?

My thoughts on the big-name turncoats have never changed, they should all have been given at least a two year ban once they finished playing the other sport, and that includes that useless f**k Tuqiri.
Tuqiri's handling skills are on a par with AFL players, maybe he could swap codes too.

ftr - I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say.

I miss watching Hunt play. I loved his style and he was tough as nails. Not really that fussed about Folau.

Both will be back at some point after their contracts are up and no one in AFL wants to waste the cash. On top of that, the NRL will have a bigger salary cap and clubs will be able to compete $$$ wise.

Would surprise me at all if Hunt ended up being the franchise player at the second Brisbane club. I remember his name being thrown around a lot with the Bombers.

Hunts re-signed for another 2 seasons.. my guess is he wont be back..

I cant see Issy coming back either.. AFL will re-sign him.. he's there biggest profile player in NSW.. perhaps even the whole game.. which is pathetic..

Id still love to see an AFL player play league.. imagine Gary Ablet or Chris Judd trying to tackle Sika Manu or Dave Taylor or Tim Grant

Chris Judd would go alright I reckon. He's an absolute machine. Ben Cousins would probably fit right in at Canberra hanging out with Dugan.

If you listen to the podcast from the 29th of June, you can hear some comments from heavy hitters in the AFL like Garry Lyon and Sam Newman.

Newman, amazingly, said something that is spot on: "The AFL will never bump off the NRL in QLD and NSW and the NRL will never bump the AFL off in the rest of the states and that is the way it will stay forever."

Say what you want about Newman, but he's right here.

Here's another link:

And Garry Lyon, it's not Rugby; it's Rugby LEAGUE! Shows how ignorant the Victorians are and that they are so insular and don't give a stuff about other sports.

Zero, and I mean ZERO sympathy for the bloke.

Would I do what he did for the money? Bloody oath. Would I expect anyone to want me back in league after it? F*ck no.

You want to make your $6 million bed, bloody well lie it.

I've had enough of these pricks that bugger off like league is an old pair of shoes then come back like nothing happened. Like it or not we are in direct competition with these sports and they make league look like fools when they parade these blokes around rubbing our noses in it.

Keep "challenging" yourself Israel. In AFL.
