Yep definitely seems like they will benefit from a break and then a new voice and system. The fact that they battled through to the end last night speaks a fair bit about their commitment, believe those who we keep have earned it.

They changed the ruck rules to stop the game looking like touch footy. All of a sudden our lightweight pack was suboptimal, and we had to rebuild. Plus guys like Drew and Dykes, who were well suited to the faster game, turned into plodders.

I kinda agree. His form is down but he still busts tackles and is a brut. Unfortunately for him and Dylan they haven't been able to play behind a dominant pack since they've matured so their game doesn't look to of advanced.
Had they debut right now they'd look cactus.

Will I am confident will bounce back. His ceiling however is a lot lower then I first thought. I used to think he could potentially reach origin level. I highly doubt it now.

He will never be an automatic choice for Origin, like Hayne or Tedesco when he was at the Tigers. But in a strong team Penisini will be in the mix. It would only take the loss of an incumbent to get him an opportunity.

Lol, Penisini will never get near Origin in a million seasons. Even Freddy scoffed when his name was mentioned ahead of last year's season, closer to Will's career best form. Now Penisini is playing at Waqa Blake level, rep duties are a stretch too far imo.
