Bulldogs fans already blaming the ref. Only way they can win is if their niggling and borderline illegal tactics are allowed to continue

Entire thread is a joke. God forbid the referee's dont let the dogs park the car in the ruck and impede the play the ball all game

Anyway... In 2013, the Roosters were the most penalised team in the competition. On Grand Final day, they held up the trophy.

What does this prove? If you are good enough, the penalty count does not matter.

incorrect.
what this proves is the roosters GIVE penalties at tactical times and positions in the game.
for example first tackle defending in their 20.
its been happening for decades but the roosters didn't even try to hide it.
they knew they would lose the penalty count every game.
but its where and when you give and recieve penalties that's the key.
they also get to whinge about being beaten in the penalty count every week.
even when they know its there key tactic.

What a crock of absolute horse shit. Happening for decades.. hahaha.. Why do the Roosters receive by far the least penalties? 15 less than the next bottom team? do we also deliberately not try to receive penalties? Souths Sydney received 35 penalties more than the team that received the second most penalties.

Matches are decided in board rooms, not by players. This was the grand final the NRL wanted. Souths Sydney are the games biggest charity case, not a murmur about there women bashing antics in the press. A club with no dignity, ethics or morals. Hope the Bulldogs beat them by 90.

So two things pop out from this magnificent post.

Firstly, were the board meetings that determined that the roosters won last year's premiership the same ones that decided this year that souths will win? And if the reason souths have been chosen by board meetings to win is that they are a charity case what was the reason the roosters were chosen last year? Or is this the first year that board meetings have been choosing the winners?

Secondly, if board meetings have chosen souths to win it is therefore impossible for the bulldogs to put 90 on them. So your hopes won't come true. As you know that board meetings have decided the winner it seems a bit stupid of you to hope for this.

And what is your opinion of the roosters signing of a man who was found in court to have indecently assaulted a woman? Do you believe that they have no morals?

You people are a joke. Those of you who think in a modern game that all the referee's are corrupt are kidding themselves.

The referees are not corrupt just very very incompetent and $ouff$ under Maguire have the ability to take advantage of that better than anyone.
This is not saying the "fix is in", just that Maguire is being very smart and using the absolute farce that is the current refereeing to his advantage.

But anyone that thinks Squirrel Burge$$ is not the most protected player in the competition is kidding themselves, this filthbag should not be playing tomorrow

Over shayne Haynes career the team with the best penalty ratio is South Sydney... Is it a coincidence his a known South Sydney supporter??? Hmmmm

Hayne if u read this or anyone tells U about this... We will judge U massively on sunday n make a massive deal!!! The pressure will be on You, the other ref and South Sydney:lol:

About as much of a coincidence as all of the bulldogs players avoiding charges and suspensions lately.
You reckon Greenberg will join the lap of honour if the dogs get up?

I know this will get me laughed out of this topic by everyone here that loves to dwell in negativity and sit around whinging. But i honestly think the Referee's this year have done pretty damn well.

You can't expect them to get everything perfect.. Look at any competition they are all fairly alike one another when it comes to refereeing and how certain groups of people view it.

There is a mountain of butt hurt in here from my fellow Roosters fans

Can't we just admit we were out enthused, out muscled and outplayed by Souths?

The Roosters screwed their finals chances by being arrogant against the Panthers and ending up on Souths side of the draw and having to go through the Cowboys to get there.

We can't blame the referees. Just ourselves
