Dean Ritchie randomly rang the Guyra president because his club has a funny name and asked if they would like to have Willie play for them. And like most small bush clubs, in fact like most clubs in Australia outside the NRL, he said 'yes'. The club has NEVER spoken to Willie or his manager and ha NOT made any kind of offer to him whatsoever. It's News Ltd bullshit to try and suggest Mason is only worth $250 a game playing in a back blocks town in a small competition, which is utter nonsense. If he was willing to play CRL there would be big clubs in places like Newcastle, where he is from, that would pay him a shit load more than that per game and get him a job too if he wanted one. Not that I expect him to play CRL at all.
