With Johns gone, who will fill the 'void'?

Now that Andrew Johns has retired, who do you really think will fill his position? Jarrod Mullen is the so-called obvious choice to most, but what about Kurt Gidley? whats he done wrong to not warrant wearing the #7 jersey fulltime...? What are your thoughts on the Halfback position, and why?

his kicking game is average at best, and he doesn't have the vision of a playmaker. he's a game breaker, but he's not a playmaker.

What has he done wrong? Have you ever seen a game where Kurt plays Halfback? Christ, he was _ok_ at first for 04, up until the Brisbane game, then the other sides in the comp realised he's one dimensional, and he has barely played a decent game at 7 since. Simply put, he is not a long-term solution for Johns. Therefore, we can't play him at half.

That Brisbane game in 04 is still one of my favourites though. It had everything, sh*tty field goals, Craig hall down the sideline, a phenomenal game from Bedsy.

Ok how about play Abraham at 5/8 then after 30 minutes or so bring Seu Seu on and move Buderus to half and Mullen to 5/8.

Kidley is NOT and option. He is NOT a play maker. Plain and simple!

I think that would dilute our ruck too much. Without Joey we'll need our best players in the positions they are best at.
