Donnely just played 90% of the season for Ipswich Jets, and then got picked up by the injury ravaged Sharks, doubt he'd be on more than minimum. Not worth more than minimum either...

Off the top of my head and remember this is in comparison to Lowe, there are guys like Jeremy Latimore, Craig Stapleton who still played as well as he did for Penrith and the Sharks for Salford this year, Matt Cross who was playing well for the Storm before he got injured, Jon Green, Bodine Thompson

Would have like to have signed Luke MacDougal a couple of months ago - before we picked up Tupou, Daniella, & Brown.

When he left Souths, I rated him one of the best wingers in the NRL. I was sure that he would kick on at the Dragons & play rep footy. Didn't happen - not sure why (maybe injuries?).

Then he did something to piss off B.Smith at Newcastle & never got a first grade look-in.

Considering his asking price couldn't be too high, if he stays injury-free & gets a crack at first grade somewhere next year, it wouldn't surprise if he turns out to be considered the buy of the season around this time next year.

Much rather MacDougal than Daniella. Too late now.

What kind of logic is that? Mason isn't going to pull his finger out whilst sitting on the bench, which is where he spends 40-50 minutes of the game. I'd prefer Heighno/Ellis in the back row, both 80 minute players than that bludger, even if he did harden up a bit.

OK - I dont want Mason, would have loved him 4 years ago.
I can see the value in someone like Lowe or Stapleton though.

But what I want to say is comparing Mason and Heigno today is a little like comparing two green apples! Where was Heino's heart this year FFS? If hes going to play like that next year he can go up to the central coast and start training by himself now.
