Lol

I can find 15 better coaches at the local park league.

Can you please explain why you think he is in the top 4 nrl coaches?? Delusional

I don't know, its more to do with how bad the rest of the coaches are.
The only coaches that are clearly better than him are Bennett, Bellamy, Stuart and Robinson. Cleary is probably better and the Gold Coast coach is possibly better. The rest are trash. Brad is as good as any of the rest of them.
Fittler would over all be better than him because he could attract better players.

Cos we overrate our players

Seriously ... almost every f**ker here said we would finish arounf 4th to 6th pre season ... and that exactly what happened ... yet theres some misguided expectation we are meant to be better than the top teams .... we just arent one of the top 4 really

Not many would've had Souths or Panthers ahead of us though. I thought we had everyone outside of Roosters, Storm, Raiders covered.

Sorry, I meant in future as in next season not tonight.
Tonight Moses had to run team. He isn't capable of that. Let Brown.

I think with another preseason he could be up to it.
I’d be asking Maloney to come back for two years...
Bring his knowledge and attitude to this team

1. Missed that goal.
2. Professional foul on second grab should have got 10.
3. Moses is not the elite playmaker that some say. Don't @ me that Brown could take over because no.
4. When souths shift the ball they look like the all blacks. When we do it we look like we are just winging it.
5. Paulo and Gutho offer offence. The rest don’t.
I agree with pretty much all of this. Sounds like Moses is your scapegoat though and I tend to agree. However, I will say that Souths’ shift didn’t really penetrate all night. I think the injured/alleged drug cheat muppets are dead weight.

I stand by my comment from a few weeks ago that Junior should be the Eels point of difference and be our focal point in attack when attacking the opposition line, touching the ball at least 3 times. I’d have him play near 80mins every game and bring in exceptional defenders to cover the middle.

It’s not conventional but it may be the difference that takes us all the way. He draws defenders and I think is a better playmaker than both Moses and Drown.

Brad Arthur is happy with our edges
Happy with our energy as well, we came out both halves asleep. You can’t do that in big games and expect to win. Our attention to detail is appalling and has been for his 7 year stint. Things like the separate the top sides from the also rans, there has been nothing in his 7 years that says to me that it is a priority or it has been improved.

Drowns game hasn’t developed at all this year, I seriously doubt he is getting the coaches he needs to take his game to the next level. Actually I question that for the whole squad.

Guth and Paulo were absolutely outstanding. I hope us bowing out early doesn’t cost them a chance at a Blues jumper.

Because Moses takes over!
It’s no coincidence Drown looked better when Moses was injured

listen to the Matty Johns podcast on rookie halves....

The kid is 20 years old with 35 games, has had 2 serious injuries in 2 years.

Anyhow name 1-2 halves under 25 going better.

BTW if you mention Clearly/Liu they are 3 years older.......

control the team? That’s the halfbacks job.
The only team who has the 5/8th run the team is Keary at the roosters.
Drown isn’t suppose to run the team
I dont think he has it in him. He’s a good runner of the ball and defender. That’s really it. He takes Mennings’ or Waqa’s centre spot IMO.

Dunster made one blue but I thought he had a fine debut in the circumstances. He’ll do a job for us next year no matter what, should of gotten a go earlier in the year if the coach wasn’t a muppet.

I don’t want to bag the coach for today’s effort or results, but the lack of rotating players when necessary a few weeks ago, is on the coach. I know he’s still learning but he’s stubborn or has his favorites.

Maybe the MJ saga will be a blessing in disguise.

Yep. When Evans, Stone and I think Lane went to the middle we were f**ked. Stone gave away two set restarts in almost as many minutes . Evans lost almost every ruck he was involved in. Lanes effort on Reynolds was embarrassing.
Lane isn’t an 80min player and I reckon he’s better suited to that 20-30 minute role Kevans plays at the moment.

Stone is just too small. Lane is a plodder. Kafusi must feel hard done by not getting a run.
