I heard that fat old fugger and his cheating little mate on 2ky bagging out wolfmother for playing today

they suggested Paul Kelly or John Farnham.

Paul Kelly is as AFL as tight shorts .
Farnham is too fuggen fat and old and a has been that wouldn't know a footy if it hit him in the face.

I do not have a problem with Wolfmother.
they play rock n roll
they are aussies who have had more success over seas than farnsie and Kelly and barnsie and Nollsy put together.

when they blokes playing the game are pushing 70 yrs old then bring on Farnsie.
Until then keep the grandparents away from any sort of pre game entertainment.

At least wolfmothers members actually follow rugby league.

Roy and HG were talking about this on the AFL special last week.

They commented on the fact that the AFL seem to go with all of these old nuffies, and the NRl likes to use fresh young talent. Spiderbait were also asked to play NRL GF this year but declined due to Janet not being able to make it, and Kram is a massive AFL supporter anyway.

I think the comment regarding the AFL pre game entertainment was something along the lines of: you'll only get the gig if you were big 40 years ago.

Nothing fires me up for bit hits and hard footy like:

"You're the voice try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Whoa oh oh
We're not gonna live in silence
We're not gonna live in fear
Whoa oh oh"

Game on bitches!

Hadley was also banging on about how great the AFL final was and that Farnham talks to fans of all ages.

We had Farnham in 1990 i think it was, time to move on ffs.

Nah forget it....this is garbage.

You need music which gets everyone going. You need people singing old NRL anthems and tribute songs, as well as af ew classics. Not a song called 'the joker and the thief'. This is very average.

I think they did wel picking wolfmother. Not my favorite band, but listenable and gets the crowd revved up. They could do worse by picking some has beens.

I thought they could have picked better songs but of course they want plug to their new single. Like Eel said, at least they didn't pick a terrible has-been.

You mean like John Farnham or Tina Turner or somthing? You mean people who actually get the crowd clapping and cheering and singing along.

you think after all these years they could geat half descent entertainment by now?

Now imagine def leppard playing rocket as a countdown or Europe playing the final countdown any of those 2 would have killed it. Yes 80's but they still rock!

f**k if you want them fired up get Motley Crue out there singing "Kickstart my heart", or something.
BUT then you alienate some of the audience.

Good decision, worth it just to hear Warren Ryan bag them out.

"Try whistling along to that number"

"That song had seven notes in it!"
