wolfmother today

I'm glad there are Australian acts on there. It's our game, and Wolfmother, I am indifferent about them, did a decent job of revving up the crowd. Australian rock isn't going too bad, it's a matter of personal opinion.

If you didn't like them, there was always the choice for a mute button for ten minutes.

They should have more electro bands, and have more than one stage, and have it going all day, and then let the quality of bands deteriorate over the years and then have half-price pinga's for sale in every dunny and they should call it Big Day in the Park or Out Life or maybe a mix of the two.

OR........we could stop complaining about the pre-game entertainment and just have a day of rugby league.
 Can't stop laughing  best thread in a long time... and this the best post.... AC/DC 4 me, then radiohead at the end of the game singin creep, and everyone could take bets on how many of the losing fans neck em selves to the song

motley crue?
fug it is rugby league Ron ...not a man on man bitch fest bum rooting competition.

This game went out to a lot of countries.
Wolfmother are the only Aussie band since probably men at work or bloody air supply to win a Grammy.
Nobody outside of Aus have heard of Farnsie.

to get a big international act would have cost about half of one NRL teams salary cap .

Wolfmother did a great job in possibly the toughest gig in showbiz.
I hope all the old merkins hated it.

Motley Crue is no chance of happening, but i like those lines of thinking... make the GF as big an event as possible. I liked Wolfmother's inclusion, being somewhat of a fan, also the fact they actually are into their RL. Sure the oldies don't identify, but there were a large proportion of the crowd which were in Wolfmother's target demographic. Plus i think the whole dancing thing was done OK.

Yeah i reckon wolfmother did go ok too, and one of the better Australian acts around, however we cannot keep having Wolfmother every year.
Maybe we could entice Axl Rose and Vince Neil to square off finally:cool: now that would be cool:cool:
