Congrats on picking one of the handful.
Even in that game he was still a one trick pony. I could never understand why such a well coached team like the Storm fell for his show and go over and over.

Which we will, easily. They've look somewhat competent the last two weeks.

I've noticed a few of the teams who used to be as shit us are winning games lately; Manly, Tigers etc. We have been the most consistently awful over the longest period of time. The spoon is ours and nobody dare take it from us.

Although if Titans don't win another game (haven't checked their run) we have a decent chance as we play Panthers in round 26 who somehow lost to the Eels.

Spoon is as good as ours. Tigers getting up puts them basically out of our reach, so we're gunning against a Penrith side with a considerably superior F/A and Gold Coast who can basically save themselves by jagging a win.

I can't see us winning two more games this season.

We need to beat the Tigers or the Panthers. Titans shouldn't win another game.

Need to beat Penrith to avoid it now it seems. Unless the Tigers get thumped in their last two games.

I reckon they'll get a result against the Dogs for Old Boys Day next week and will get past Penrith on the road. They deserve to finish higher than last based on the fact they've beaten the Tigers and the Titans twice this season.

All the same, this draw is a complete rort- who was the "genius" at NRL HQ who decided to have the Knights finish the season with 4 of their last 6 games on the road (including Melbourne on a Monday night) with both home games against the Roosters and the Bulldogs? Meanwhile, the Titans and Tigers have been gifted shitty travellers like the Warriors and the Raiders at home...

It's ours and we deserve it.

Yep.

And I'd prefer us to get it than finish 2nd/3rd last. That leaves room for excuses. It took a spoon in 2005 to have a shake up we needed (before they f**ked up again).

I disagree they deserve it- they were better than fellow strugglers Gold Coast and Wests on both occasions they played them. Which is why it's such a piss-off that the NRL has seemingly set both those teams up to play a who's who of shit travelling teams in their run home, while lining the Knights up to play their darlings from Bondi Junction and Canterbury- plus sending them down to bleak city to be grappled into submission. Surprised nobody tapped the head of scheduling on the shoulder and pointed out Knights do well against Penrith on the road- I'm sure they would've changed us to play the Eels at Parra in the final round instead...

If we do finish last then we will have deserved it, that's a fact and the numbers don't lie. Especially given how bad a couple of the other teams at the bottom of the ladder have been this year.

The fact is we lost to Brisbane at home with all their origin players out, we've been smashed twice by the Raiders both home and away and during that period they've struggled to beat just about anyone else. We've been responsible for playing numerous teams back into form during the course of the year as well, Manly, Parramatta and St. George come to mind as obvious examples.

Over-all it's been a disaster of a year and although I don't want us to get the spoon it would probably be a better reflection of how shit we've been than if we escaped in 2nd last spot.
