Wooden Spoon 2015

I disagree they deserve it- they were better than fellow strugglers Gold Coast and Wests on both occasions they played them. Which is why it's such a piss-off that the NRL has seemingly set both those teams up to play a who's who of shit travelling teams in their run home, while lining the Knights up to play their darlings from Bondi Junction and Canterbury- plus sending them down to bleak city to be grappled into submission. Surprised nobody tapped the head of scheduling on the shoulder and pointed out Knights do well against Penrith on the road- I'm sure they would've changed us to play the Eels at Parra in the final round instead...

Jeez that's an impressive tin foil hat you have there. Do you get HBO on it?

We had a golden run home last year, with 6 of our last 8 games at home. That's the nature of the draw. Sometimes it works in your favour, other times it doesn't. And we 100% deserve the spoon. The Tigers and Titans are full of players who, while not necessarily the most talented, always give 110%. We have a team full of players who don't give a shit whether they win or lose, they're just happy to be playing with their mates and collect a big fat pay cheque at the end of the week

WTF the Titans have players who give 110%? I can't think of a team that has more guys that straight up DGAF. Taylor should be their captain.

Beat the Bulldogs and Penrith by 100 points in each and we should finish above the Green scum.

If we do get it, I don't know if we can claim that we didn't deserve it.

If we avoid it, fair enough. We've beaten the Titans and the Tigers twice and at this point in the season they are a few very ordinary teams running around, the likes of the Warriors included.

Whoever gets it, even if it comes down to points differential, will deserve it.

If the Raiders beat them tomorrow, we'll have a good ol fashion battle to determine the spoon.

Set to be a good one!!!

They should actually bring out the spoon and showcase it before the game.

Yeah Titans winning today was a bastard for us, they were lucky too with at least 1 of those last 2 tries very lucky to be awarded.

So yeah pretty simple now, we must beat the Panthers.

Arsey, arsey win by the Titans today, and Tigers gifted with a home game against the awful Warriors BUT....

Penrith have to play tomorrow night and then back up Saturday, a short turnaround compared to the Knights who have a week's rest. Going on recent form, I give the Knights a good chance to save their arses next weekend.

It has been a fairly ordinary season as a whole across the board. Only Roosters, Broncs and Cowboys are premiership worthy for overall consistency. Broncos win the comp. The wooden spoon means nothing anyway. I don't give a toss. We need to get our coach sorted and the more I hear I feel these ongoing interviews are about buying time until Maguire publicly knocks us back. Brown deserves the chance IMO. I just like what he has done in the UK.

Well it's official. The final game of the season will determine who wins the spoon!

Best case scenario is we have a draw and the Tigers lose LOL.

You guys only need to score a few tries to win on Saturday because we cannot construct an attack or even complete a high percentage of sets. I think we'll probably lose to you and get the spoon but on the positive side I don't think either club will be near the spoon next year.

If we can put one more performance like the past 2-3 weeks then we should avoid the spoon comfortably on Saturday. There's always the potential for us to completely shit our pants, though.

Possible spoilers..

But as of right now with the live NRL ladder, we are dead last, 16th.

I think it's deserved too. We have been the worst team by far this season.

After the next round I think not only will we be last still, but hit the triple figures for minus in for and against.
This, all the way back in the first week of July, probably could have called it earlier in fact..

From 1st after being 4-0 to dead last and the joke of the competition.

Now with as many spoons as premierships.

What a season it's been.
