No link, spoke to people involved with the event. I'd imagine everything will be announced in the next month formally once tickets go on sale.

@morningstar from my understanding all 14 invited nations have said yes.

With Australia and New Zealand confirmed participants, it's not too difficult to guess the other invitees.

Personally I'm okay with the NH selection. Each of the nation's have domestic competitions and we will hopefully see domestic talent in the squads for the event.

Would have liked to have seen Jamaica, Canada and/or Serbia in the mix but with only 12 spots and the event in the Southern Hemisphere there was always going to be a Pacific flavour.

Thats 5 in the NH
We can assume 6 in the Pacific: Aus NZ PNG Fiji Tonga Samoa

So who's lucky #12 ?
South Africa?
Cook Islands?
Philippines?

When only 30% of the tv viewing public are to view this innaugural World Nines tournament then underachievement and poor relevance is all the code deserves. Instead of being a widespread and well publicised event, the nines will be can obscure and limited viewed tournament . Mainstream media means plenty of relevance. Otherwise you get less than a third of the potential viewing audience. Go figure!

well, that's not a bad start for this event … I'm certainly keen to attend with those 12 men's teams and those 4 women's teams competing.

Hopefully it can make $$$ for the RLIF and the next event in 2023 can be even bigger …
