You sound a bit rubbed up, by a few poms happy to smug us... and they won so they are fully in the right to smug, let smugs get smugWorld Cup Champions....not sure why they call it that when only two nations compete, but yeah, they won, congratulations to them.
I think we did ok considering it's played in our preason with 6 of our premiership winning team missing. The boys did well to bring it back from 10 - 0 to 12 - 12 and only get beaten by 1 point.
Let's put things in perspective for one minute. The Poms are cheering they are the best in the "world". Didn't Australia just win the real World Cup? Did England play in final? They didn't even play Australia or New Zealand at any time in the comp and still couldn't make the final.
It is fact that English players come and play in NRL to lift their game to next level and Australians play in the English League when they can't get a contract in NRL or are ageing and at the end of their careers to put some $$ in the bank for retirement.
That game is done and as I said, congratulations the them, I'm sure they will continue to bask in their tittle of "World Cup Champions" for some time.
Us on the other hand prepare for war, going into battle in the toughest and most elite Rugby League competition in the world. I for one am excited to see what is ahead for us even with our so called "weakened team" this year.
Never lose sight of the end prize.
Let's go Panthers
No not really, I congratulated them twice in my post. They won, we lost, it is what it is. I'm just excited the NRL comp is almost here, can't wait. You sound a bit rubbed up, by a few poms happy to smug us... and they won so they are fully in the right to smug, let smugs get smug
Let them get smug, we'll knockem down a peg or 2 next WCCNo not really, I congratulated them twice in my post. They won, we lost, it is what it is. I'm just excited the NRL comp is almost here, can't wait.
The rest of the post was purely fact.
The poster referred to Saints as World Cup Champions.....I was referring to his post.Black Diamond please note it was 'World Club Challenge' not 'World Cup Champions'
The post I was responding called themselves World Cup Champions, I was referring to his comment....picky, pickyIt's World club championship,
Not the world cup OK
Whatever ya reckonST Helens won the NRL preseason cup
As Well ?
Maybe its more like they dont give a shitPanthers have played 3 world club challenge cup finals. Lost all 3 ? Including 1 final at home ground. Not a good record. Might be jinxed
Maybe we are. One thing for sure, we weren't jinxed in grandfinals, picking up every possible trophy and a back to back Premiership in NRL.Panthers have played 3 world club challenge cup finals. Lost all 3 ? Including 1 final at home ground. Not a good record. Might be jinxed

BOOM!!!Doubt it ....
Welsby,Makinson,Percival,Lomax,Walsmley,Knowles are not bang average ..Dear me some of you think your unbeatable..
SHAKAWalmsley is good, but he’s not better than Fish or Leota. Arguably you could say he’d take Spencer’s spot, but Spencer brings a lot of aggression and line speed.
Welsby is not getting picked over any of our back 3.
Mackinson would struggle to make our reserve grade side. Not even being disrespectful, we are very strong in the outside backs.
I’ve watched Ruby for years, he’s a slow version of Kenny….
