yeah i think in the end they want to do what super league did in 1997
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_World_Club_Championship

but it doesnt make sense that you can be world club champions and not even be champions of your own national league. i dont like it and i think they should just keep it to 1 match between the nrl champions and the english superleague champions OR make it a 3 game series out of those 2 teams. every second year it should be played in australia (or new zealand if new zealand warriors are premiers on that year)

Works fine for the Euro Rugby Champions Cup, & UEFA Champions League.

With a good dose of luck all the Australian teams will be defeated and Pommie Rugby League supporters will have something to savour. League needs a version of the Barmy Army who just like a win now and again

The real question is - what is last year's 11th placed team doing there?

no one else wanted to go. i do like this concept and i hope it grows, but we need the top teams. but then you'd have people like hasler send over the nsw cup side so he doesnt get nay injuries

How are the ticket sales going for the 3 games this year? I've heard the Souths game is sold out but what about the other two?

i heard all 3 were sold out. i hope thats the case. english fans seem to get behind things like this more than aussies. if we held it here we'd get 2k at each game :(

Should the other games be more correctly titled "invitational" exhibitions?

Or "Everyone gets a prize"

That's a bit better isn't it?

A 10th place finish.

how can you be sure though that winning 11 out of 24 games will guarantee 10th?

what if the top 4 clubs only lose, say 3 games each (1 to each of the other top 4 teams), and the bottom 4 sides only win 2 games each?

then what could be a potentially poor season can actually turn into quite a positive one, where you can make the finals with a less than 50% strike rate?

or should i be reading your post that you are actually fearful of your own performances this year and see us as a threat?

no need to be scared mate.. no team in the NRL history has been able to back up a premiership...

At absolute best St George could finish 8th. But luck has to be on your side.

Remember mate St George usually have a poor for and against and I can't see that changing this season.

It will be very hard for Souths to go back to back.

interesting, i like how we are gradually climbing the ladder in your view of the upcoming season..

what variables should we look to play with in order to help provide a hypothetical better result?

ideally i won't be able to rest easy until we are at least 6th in your mind...

Anywhere between 8th-14th is all you'll get.

Good enthusiasm from you though.

Anywhere between 8th-14th is very appropriate.

St George have no attack.

Depends on their defence.

You must have some memory loss/Dementia.
