How good is it seeing Frank wind back the clock, if only briefly

Ata looks pretty good behind a proper pack...

Definately need to sort some shit out so Tonga and Samoa play each other more often.
SOO always stand alone and a Tri series with Tonga, Samoa, PNG. Another group Fiji, NZ and England.
How do we get this shit sorted???

What is the sound of one hand clapping?
Against a wall make plenty of noise! :)
I guess just wondering how close one has to be for an obstruction to occur vs what looked to be effort.
If a ball goes forward but no one would of stopped player, or no advantage, why call to back?

Ken not up to top level football at the moment. NSW cup 2018 for sure.
Cost Samoa 2 tries tonight.
Samoan fullback forced that ball down.

Double movement call overruled.
Again, it was a double movement, ball carrying arm touched ground and then promoted forward, but if he hadn't ball would of gone over line anyway with momentum.
6-26.
Samoa to many errors, kick game average as well. The penalty that got Tonga there a rough call, Fafita just a bad play the ball.

Enjoyed Tonga v Samoa, thought the Samoans were quite unlucky with the calls too but Tonga played the better game

Horsehead up in the box shows the poor place that interpretations and the video have taken the game. Imo the onfield ref was spot on awarding 2 no tries, but both got overturned

The first interpretation that I hate is the obstruction one. I grew with running behind your man being a sheppard, instant penalty, no complaints and the game moved on. That clearly happened tonight, but now we get the micrometer out to guess if anyone got obstructed. I know which was easier and made for better attack

And the double movement, if the ball hits the ground, and gets promoted, I grew up with that being a double movement, end of story. No interpretation of momentum, if momentum would have gotten him there then he should have left it tucked under his arm

Exactly on the ref calls.
Not as worried about Tonga as before the cup started.
But if we have an off game we could be in trouble.

I though Ata had a very good game.
Spoke a lot and let his forwards and backs know what he wanted from them.
Really ran directly too.
A very entertaining game.
I can see an Island of origin series being a big success.
Played in NZ. Maori vs Fiji vs Tonga vs Samoa vs Kumuls.
