To reward the writers for the World Cup, I can put a poll similar to the Peoples Choice Award for the F7s season, Preceeding that, the usual process of asking for noms for the best article of the F7s World Cup can take place. Thoughts?

I've had an idea

Whats everyones thoughts on the possibility of conducting a celebration show for the World Cup and the entire season in general. We can present special awards for the WC and have a chat about the season in general. It would differ from the official awards show as it wont be specific to individual awards, except for of course the awards to do with the World Cup

Thoughts????

Have you guys thought about reading out say the top three articles (of the WC or the season) on a show? Or phoning the writer to read through their own article on air? 750 words isn't too long, and might be a nice touch.

i havent but suggestions are indeed welcome depending on the situation

Its basically for the World Cup and to discuss the season in review. Its for the F7s public and anyone who'll listen. If there's interest, I'll address it and see to it that it goes ahead

The fundamental anonymity of the F7's concept would be challenged by reading articles aloud unless they were done by a neutral source. The fact that no-one really knows the others (sic) means that the power of the written word can do it's thing without the writers' backgrounds or personalities intervening.

I would happily contribute to the event but am much more comfortable writing and commenting as the technology has been awful at this end (or pre-recorded).

as for the articles, keep them coming. I'll give you all until saturday morning to nominate your fav articles throughout the tournament.

nominate to me via PM who you thought did a spiffy job as ref and who you think is the player of the tournament and skipper.
