Priddis deserved it in 03. I thought last night Stewart played well enough to get it, Lyon was unlucky.

How Jeremy Smith didnt win it last year is beyond me?

Adam Blair was clearly the best in 2009.

On dodgey winners of it, Scott Prince has to be in there, he played alright in the grand final, but Galea and Laffranchi were easily the 2 best on the field.

Only Kangaroos or potential Kangaroos win the CC medal....not surprising when the Kangaroo selectors pick the winner!!

J. Smith last year, Blair in 09 and Nikau in 99 all deserved to win.

You sound like a typical westie loser

Tell me wanker what's it like to follow a team
that wins a Grand Final roughly every 40 years???

Oh wait I can tell you easily ... You feel like a
bitter old tool whose side is a waste of space
just like him:D

To answer the OP's question - it's gotta be Kevin Hastings. A hack who was never even good enough to play for Australia!

Lyon was fantastic but I still think Stewart was a desereved winner. The little grubber inside his own 20 was exceptional, he defended well all night and kept the Warriors guessing every time he touched the ball.

Personally, I thought DCE was best on Sunday, but G.Stewart played an amazing game and he got dudded in 08 when Kite won it so I won't say he doesn't deserve it.

As for previous GF's, Brad Clyde's CCM in the 91 decider was a crime. Roycie or MG should have won that. Clyde wasn't even Canberra's best in that game, Big Mal was.

It actually feels good to live in an area where most people own their homes, cars etc and aren't pretentious show ponies.

Having won premierships in 91 and '03 is just a bonus really.

Out of curiosity, who do you think should have won instead?

Nightingale not winning it last year means a winger will never win it.
Helps he wasn't the best on the field either. Hornby and Smith won that game for the Dragons. Nightingale finished off their hard work.

As to Brent Kite I thought he deserved the CCM in 2008, he ripped through Melbourne like a hot knife through butter with 165+ metres and 26 tackles. If a prop was ever to win the top award it was him.

Mason was a stand out winner in 04, if you think anyone BUT Mason should have won it then you probably didn't watch the game. Stewart was a stand out winner too. The rest I either don't remember well enough or agree with.
