Johns deserves his more than Slater or Boyd that is for sure. Kennedy and Peden were better but only just. And yes TC had a stormer for the Broncos in that decider but Lockyer is probably lucky to have his as well.

96 - Innes (Toovey had good game, but Innes would have been more deserving)
98 - Carroll (Tallis was shit that game, won it on name and a couple of runs)
99 - Nikau (see 1996)
01 - Kennedy (I'm a Parra fan, trust me, Kennedy then daylight to Johns)
04 - Ryan or Minichiello for losing effort
05 - I honestly can't remember Prince doing much, either Marshall for his one play or Laffranchi
08 - Watmough or G Stewart
09 - Smith or Cronk
10 - Hornby
11 - Lyon (I agree in the end Stewart probably deserved it because his kick came off, but if it didn't he wouldn't have won, so moot point I guess)

Prince created the overlap for Fitzhenry to score and put in the kick that led to the Bowman blunder, but that was about it for big plays. Laffranchi and Galea were easily the 2 best on the field that night, but as has been said, they only give the medal to Kangaroos or Kangaroo contenders, and Prince was the only player they picked from our side.
